Monkhouse's performance was the highlight of the night for me.
He dispelled any doubts that he isn't a class act when he's at his best. A proper footballer in every sense of the word when he plays like that

his back heel to humps in the second half was almost as good.

His run to win the penalty wasn't bad either, he's fooking class one of the very best players to ever wear a Pools shirt but one thing I'd like to pull him and the rest of the team up on, he's scored 15 of his 18 goals this season at the Vic (and two in separate games at Elland Road, oh the other from an inch at Fleetwood).

The exiles must wonder what all the fuss is about!!

Monkhouse was a different class tonight, his 7th or 8th goal of the season as well not bad going for a winger who doesn't always get picked!

Fully concur, his form tonight was probably the reason why their right back was taken off in the second half

monkey has to start on the left on saturday thats for sure. robson has been below par for 4 or 5 games now.

twas never a penalty by the way, but it was a great run and he did the right thing to go down. teams have been cheating us for weeks so it was nice to get some payback for a change.

i suspect orient will be alot harder to break down as they will almost certainly come for a 0-0. assuming nardiello is back and we can get an early goal i can see us winning by a wide margin.

after 6 games without a win we should get a good price from the bookies as well. i can feel a lumpy three figure wager coming on.

£1.50?

I agree with all of that - even though Porter was clearly not fully fit he had a great game. He will, indeed, be hard to replace.

They were saying on the radio last night I think that their team cost £6 million (??) to put together. Well, considering ours cost about £200,000 (??) I thought we were fantastic. Porter, Monkhouse, Collins, Clark and Liddle were all outstanding - well done lads clappp
