ALB 5; Made two saves, saves you'd expect any competent goalkeeper to make mind, but it still shocked me. Stays on his line as if it's illegal to leave it.

Sweeney 5; Worked hard but two much space is afforded in full back positions and no quality on the ball, Turner didn't help by playing a centre forward on the right for the last ten minutes.

Nelson 6; Did ok, was marking a diving teletubby, who somehow burgled two goals.

Collins 6; Decent return to the side didn't do much wrong.

Humphreys 5; Ditto Sweeney, just too much space in wide areas. This is compounded by a keeper who doesn't even try to deal with crosses. It's little wonder we concede 2-3 goals every game.

Foley 7; Did well, beat his man on plenty on occasions but hesitant with the final shot/pass. Should have had a dig after a great run first half but hesitated and the chance was gone. Ran up a blind alleys on occasions. David remember what happened against Stoke when you had a pop, don't be shy.

Liddle 6; Battled away, had a decent shot first half, but given he was playing next to a kid he needed to take control and more responsibility on the ball on occasions. He has the ability I just feel he needs to believe it a bit more, where is passing the ball fives yards backwards to Sam Collins when we are 2-1 down going to get us?

Rowell 8; Seriously impressive stuff from the kid, loads of skill and energy, also he's not shy when it's come getting stuck in. An exciting prospect. Love his confidence on the ball, he was the most skillful player on the pitch.

Monkhouse 6; Good first half, frustrating second.

Henderson 6; A much improved performance, not sure why he was moved onto the right though. After the first ten minutes I thought he did very well at times, for a big lad he's better with the ball at his feet than in the air though. A couple of nice bits of skill, faded in the second half really.

Lange 6; Some very nice touches but did labour at times, it will be 4-6 weeks before we see the very best of him I reckon. Never looked like he was going to not going to score when he was clean through, which is a good sign.

I came away not really being able to fault any of the lads who played, the gave it a right go and we deserved a point, the winner came at a time when we very comfortable in the game. We just have two many obvious weaknesses that even a moderate team as Mk were yesterday will exploit eventually. It is no surprise when we are trying to see out game for a well deserved point that we concede a goal down our right hand side that you consider that down that side we had a 19 year old centre forward and an attacking midfielder. It's not really rocket science is it?

Thats the root problem though isn't it. You can rarely criticise the levels of effort we just keep playing certain players in positions that they are simply not good enough in which leads to us conceding too many goals.

I know people will say that Turner can only play who is available but the kamikaze defence of Hartlepool United is not a new phenomenon is it? I think we were aware of it before the transfer window.

And Turner states that we could have got something out of the game if we could show more quality in the final third.

Didn't mention we also could have got more out of yesterday and so many other matches with more quality in the 'first third'. Still hoping that he's got something up his sleeve and that's why he's let Budtz go to Oldham.

It's not just the goalie, the best keeper in the world would not do that well with this defence playing in front of him. The main problem is in the full backs, particularly left back.

the left back situation is an issue, i think Sweeney normally has a steady game at right back. Goal keeper is an essential posistion, there are times where you have to make do in certain area's of the field but goalkeeper should not be one of them......

Chris Turner used to be a goal keeper , so god knows what he thinks in training

Who are these muppets in goal , if i release one or two of them i will be able to bring my own in to the club.

I have always said if you dont conceed a goal you will definatley take a point from every game but if you keep a cleensheet and score you will get three points ( i would klass myself to be quality if i could keep a clean sheet once i have scored ) but we wont go in to that of course
