If you want to experience Cuba for real and not the holiday company version, look up 'casa familiar'. Basically you live in a Cuban house next to a cuban family. Take presents - basic things. Google will tell you what.

In my humble opinion, the only way to experience any country is to do it with the natives.

Cuba is a beautiful country with really friendly people....even the beggars are polite but do get on your tits in the Towns!!!! confised

We went last year all-inclusive....absolutely spot-on but the food was very 'samey' every day!!!! confised

The food was the only real downer of the holiday but i'd still recommend it!!!!

Take plenty of Mozzie Spray....loads!!!! confised

Also take presents for the workers in the Hotels....not the Bar-Staff....they are like Millionaires compared to everyone else!!!! confised

We took a load of stuff for the Cleaners/Gardeners children....Felt-Tips, colouring books, pens, pencils, maths sets (Calculator, Rulers, etc)!!!!

We also left loads of 'Holiday' clothes for them aswell....shorts, caps, towels and Toiletries!!!!

Honestly they were absolutely over the moon....especially the Gardener who I sought out on our last day....he always said hello to us when we seen him....and was chuffed to bits when I gave him a 'Goodie-bag'!!!! :coool:
We got told The Gardeners always get left out!!!! confised

Swimming with Dolphins was the highlight of the Holiday....brilliant time and it was quite cheap to do....spent about 30 minutes in the water with them!!!!

Let me know if you book-up and where you would be staying etc!!!!

I wouldn't go to Cuba even if I paid you to.
