The ref (who is everything that is pathetic about the modern referee) in the Spain V England stopped the game for a player to get attention and awarded a bounce up after....... A Stewart Downing tame free kick hit him!!!

Yes he stopped the game because someone got hit by a football.

What has become of our once great game?

What was the ref thinking 'I must stop the game he could be seriously winded'

Bert Trautmann played on with a broken neck FFS and I'm pretty sure it wasn't caused by a Mitre Delta.

Of course not. It was a Multiplex. They're much harder than Deltas.

How do they continuosly get away with pushing the ball acouple of metres past someone diving over and geting a free kick. Winds me up, i've stoped watching the premiershit because of it - internationals too i think.
