The bairn's childminder lost her dad over Christmas due to a sudden tumour.

About a week before he died she was talking to him about a ball she had to go to with her husband. She didn't have anything to wear and hadn't seen anything she liked in the the shops for a decent price.

About three weeks after he died she got a parcel addressed to her from Grattans, and in it was a ball dress. She hadn't ordered it, so she rang Grattans up as she thought it must have been sent to her by her dad, or was a very coincidental error.

Grattans had no record of the order. She described the dress to them and they have never stocked it.

If I had heard this from anyone else, I would have been a bit sceptical, but she is one of the most down to earth people you could meet.

Coupled with this is the incident experienced by her husband (a soldier who is also very down to earth) who went to pick some stuff up from the dad's house after he died. Even though it was unplugged, the radio switched itself on.

I've heard things like this second or third hand, but this is from people who are very normal.
