I spoke to one of my students this morning who'd been to Harbin for New Year, it's about 500km north of Beijing. She's 12 years old. It was -24C up there but she went ski-ing, visited the ice museum, wore four layers of clothes and on their last day, left a farmer's lodge and walked for 6 hours over the hills to the Snow Town, so called because it never thaws, to get the bus back to the city to fly home. She was enthralled by the whole experience.

Mind. I think snow stinks...... :roll:

Personally, I'd rather see happy images of children playing in snow etc then here fresh news of financial and global ruin.

There's plenty of things you can do in snow ...................... polar bear baiting ......................................... seal clubbing, of course ............ penguin throwing .............. threatening snowmen with a propane bottle(lit) .................... walrus wrestling .... er. that's it.
