I've had a couple of PM's suggesting that the floral tributes should be combined and the remainder of the collection money should be donated to the family.

I've just had a chat with Jill, Toothless's sister and the family have already talked about this subject. Rather than spending all the money on a mass of wreaths they would prefer it to go to Alice House which is the hospice that looked after Toothy. That said, it's you guys who are donating so I guess it's your shout.

I think that there should perhaps be two nice wreaths in club colours; one from the combined Pools boards and another from Darlo and we should make the rest a combined donation to the hospice.

Your thoughts ?

I think that is a pretty good suggestion. If someone can just sort out a way for us exiles to contribute...

I think we might have our wires crossed a bit here. Spoke to Parmo at lunchtime and it was decided to go ahead and get a wreath from everyone at the Bunker, which I've now ordered. Parmo is keeping the collection at the Woodie open for a while after Toothy's funeral, for people to contribute if they want.
Sorry if this wasn't what some people wanted but the florists said if the wreath wasn't ordered by to night, they couldn't guarantee delivery on time

Phew, that's a relief. There wasn't time to consult everyone about it....You might like to know the wreath will be in Pools colours with Toothy's small yellow face in one corner

There seems to be people who want to contribute but haven't been able to so the collection will continue at the woodcutter along with the Paypal donations. Whatever money is in there will go to Alice House.

Mr I, there's a way round this. If other boards want to share the Bunker wreath, you could ring up Layton's Florists in Hartlepool in the morning, and ask for other names to be added to our card. Layton's number is 01429 860861

Sounds a good idea

In a bizarre way I wish I could make the funeral, from the notice in the mail & requests for flags etc not so much a sad occasion as a celebration of a life
