Been talking to his mate today and pools put a £50,000 offer in for him on Monday which Orient turned down and they want £200,000.

Pools could have had him for £50,000 before he signed a new contract which will keep him there for the next 2 and a half years but Wilson did not want him

We are going back in with £120,000

When did he sign this new contract? Because if he has Leyton Orient haven't said anything about it....

Turner always got the best out of Boyd'y didn't he!!! One good season when he actually bothered to try and people forget all the times when he just couldn't be bothered. Best bit of business ever by Pools when the cashed in on him.

I can see no way that he would come back to Pools.

he really wants to come back, he is orients highest paid player aswell so that could sway it for them to let him go

wasn't it Cooper who got the best out of him,
in a higher league than Turner

Not sure I'd be happy paying £120,000+ for him,
but given a choice between him and Duffy, I reckon I'd gor for Adam

Wouldn't it be great to have him linking up with Joel for the second half of the season before Joel goes back to Oz (assuming all the talk is true about him going of course).

That said, I posed the same question to Mickey Barron during the commentary on friday night and MB said he personally thinks it would be a bad thing  Okay total speculation but I would be surprised for him to make such a comment if we were in for him. Hope i'm wrong like. sadx

What reasons did Barron give for it being a bad thing?

Not verbatim, but as remember it was along the lines of not coming back to the same club having been such a success the first time round.

imagine all three together that would be some attack, that would give some defenders sleepless nights for a few weeks afterwards

Getting Boydy back would be a fantastic long term option for the club. If he rejoined now I would be very surprised if he left us again, he has tried playing away from Pools and it hasn't been a huge success for him. If he came back, I could see him wanting to settle back here and finish his career here.

If managed correctly we could get 5 or 6 seasons out of him getting 15-20 goals every year. That would be one hell of an aquisition and worth any fee we could afford as quality strikers are at a premium.

but some folks would genuinely not want us to have him!!! You're right about him being a longer term signing too!! They could give him rolling 2 year deals, so if he did start to falter in 4 years or so then we would already know we'd need a replacement!!!
We know what Boyd brings to the team, he can change a game with a piece of skill to set someone up or score himself. He'd be in a better all round attacking side with Pools than he is at Orient.
I have no time whatsoever for people who will argue against the signing of Boyd!!!
They are ranked as "know-nowts" !!!!!
