Some may disagree but i really dont see the point in signing him. Fair enough he was canny when he was here last time but that was the league below. Everytime ive seen him in this division he's been gash!. Got to be better options out there such as Craig Davies at Oldham, always looked good when ive seen him and not really getting a look in now! Dunno bout Boyd coming back either, think he's been off the boil for a while now as well!

We could always swap Gold Coast Crocodiles Duffy and Boydy and keep Joel

got to agree with chip on this one. Seeing someone twice in a season is not enough to make a judgement. Although that doesnt stop people from forming opinions though.

Well for Duffy my opinion is after seeing him 3/4 times in the last season or so, he cant get into a poor Bristol side, couldnt make it at swansea and i dont think many players ever seem to do well when they return to pools, thats also why i dont think we should fork out that much money for Boyd. I like boydy, was a fantastic player for us and id take him over Duffy any day. Look at Duffy's record and its not exactly impressive, 3 goals this season! says it all to me

He's just young and a pretty much unknown quantity so we can get excited by the element of surprise with him, as for Duffy he's turned us down a couple of times thinking he could do better and im personally glad pools never forked out 100k+ for him like swansea and bristol have. There are better players out there surely!. Saying all this id still give him my backing when he plays, maybe he just hasnt settled well anywhere yet and pools could be the place. Could all be a load of b0llocks anyway and we might not even be after him!

Reef man
there could be many reasons why not to throw the lad on straight away, and probably as many reasons why they have brought him in. Give the lad a chance

This is a professional footballer not a feckin christmas pressie

well i wouldnt complain if Boyd did come back, but not many players are ever as good on their return to pools, hope im wrong if he does though!. Again though, Duffy is an underachiever and i dont really rate him, despite how many times ive seen him. If he was any good he wouldnt be sitting on the bench all season behind the not very prolific jo kuffour!

making a relevant comment based on whats been said on here

as for letting go neither can you as you feel you need to reply to anything I post for the sheer hell of it and without purpose or link to the thread in question

Dugout - there may be but the point remains that the majority on here expected him to start as in their opinions was better than what we had - I will give him a chance as I did last night
