I just couldn't believe he got 3 life sentences but they run concurently....and he will serve a minimum of 10 years!!!!

PS....Just been flicking through a book I've just got from the Library called 'Lifers' in Ireland and one story caught my eye....

A lad attacked 2 young teenage girls with a knife and killed one of them!!!!
His sentence....15 years for attempted Murder and Life for Murder!!!!

But the best bit is....

After he's served his 15 years for Attempted he'll then start his Life sentence for the murder....which is LIFE!!!! :sweet: :sweet:

Another thing....he'd been Jailed in 2001 for attacking (Sexual?!?!) a 12 year old....so what the fuck was he doing out so soon????

Look I don't know anyone who's actually against punishment. I think you've got the wrong end of the stick, probably because you only listen to half an argument.
When we say you the priority should be stopping these things happening in the first place, that's the ideal solution. It doesn't mean we think you should let the bugggers off scott free FFS!

Life emprisonment sounds a fair punishment to me. The judge couldn't have done any more.

my philosophy on the matter for all you lot care like is give the convicted 1 year to prove there innocence if this is not possible then do away with them by one a few ways which spring to mind



1, hang,electric chair, or lethal injection

2, let the victims families do it then feed the remains to the pigs (if they'll eat them).

3, public do it im sure this would become a great sport

I believe that the punishment, should fit the crime, and the punishment should be decided by the victims families.

When capital punishment was abolished it was replaced with life imprisonment...fair enough ..... but, there's life imprisonment as we see it and the one the law makers call it which is nothing of the sort. I would make life mean life and I would make the prison regime very, very 'spartan' ...no luxuries, no visits, no parole, only greater time for not conforming to the rules ...a basic cell and no contact with other prisoners..and the radio playing Womens Hour on Radio Four on a continouis loop.......drab food, badgers arse industrial strength toilet paper made from swarf, bits of old sander belts and wire wool.

This country pizzes me off because of crap like this, I have had to spend two weeks of my life sitting in a court (a few years ago now) listening to a paedo case which included almost 2 dozen accounts of rape and sexual assault on kids 8 -13, the tw@t got 16 yr, not even 1 year for each effing case

Four years later I still feel sick thinking about it.
