I wonder what "dfc real stadium" has to say about this........................

will he have to change his name?????

There's ambition and there's gross misjudgement..... no prizes for guessing what category this came under. They should have built a 15,000 seater, which would have been more than adequate, the fans probably always knew this but having to dismantle part of the ground and have the back of office buildings facing the pitch will be surreal.
Anyone who can remember the supermarket ends at Hull and Bolton will know how horrible that is at a football ground.

Surely they could afford to close three sides and still fit all of their fans in?

Wave the white flag Sussex, the games up and it's been conceded. You'll end up with a ground with one side behind the goal, it'll look more like an open air cinema.
Is it true the place is being 'weighed in' for it's scrap value, bit by bit.

Is it just me or am I the only feel feeling a little sorry for our arch rivals up the road. I miss the derbys, the atmosphere, the hatred, the taunting, its just not the same anymore and has never been since we went up.
Not that i'd want us back in league 2, no way, but i'd like to seee darlo join us in league 1 next season.
Mind, the ground could be the death of them, but hopefully they'll survive and join us getting the derby games back on track as soon as possible.

I think most are realistic and look back on the day they left feethams as the worst day in their history. Btw, what has happened to their old ground, any houses on their?

Which is a common sense reasonable size for a lower league club with a less than 5000 average attendance and is easily extended if & when the time is right.

I dislike darlo with a passion but I would not like to see any club go bust well not outside of the premiership.
When we were in the shit back end of the 90's. the beginning of the messageboard era for me, quite a few darlo were hoping we'd be relegated to the conference but quite a few also wanted us to stop up, I just want to play them again but swapping places doesn't even bare thinking about, I think most darlo would take us playing each other next season rather than a straight swap.
Come on Darlo

I miss the matches against Darlo like I miss leprosy...all hype and posturing and getting the bragging rights .... irritating.

You probably aren't, the trouble is, those matches were all about being the top dog. some people had these matches as focus of their entire season, they'd have happily been relegated and watched Darlo, promoted as champions as long as they beaten them twice.

I hate them with a passion.

Would I want them to go bust? Yes, but only after many more years of continued humiliation. rolfl

I particularly had time for the old boy who suggested that they leveled the whole stadium rolfl

Phrases used in the news report included 'White Elephant' and 'George's Folly' classic stuff!

I would piss myself if the 'Loids went tits up and I mean REALLY piss myself

I no longer care about any other club but Pools, each time we nearly went to the wall, the majority of them rubbed their hands with glee, to recap, the 'Loids can welcome to the board and every other team can suck my bollox

that's what I said yesterday when someone mentioned Bournemouth and the likes, especially Brighton at that Fans United day. Where were all of them when we nearly went bust under Garry Gibson? They all hoped we went the journey so they wouldn't have to come all the way up here again. Fuck them all.
