I wonder what they'll all be saying in a few months when the players will be putting in 100% every week.
"It was better in the old days under Wilson, when we were guaranteed 45% effort from the team. I for one am not happy that good results are more guaranteed these days. I liked it much better when it came as a surprise when we won."

Those letters were a disgrace and written by idiots.

HOWEVER, it is not The Mail's fault if they were the only letters received.

Why don't we all write in saying that we're glad he's gone? And see how many of those get printed? Then, and only then, would you really be in a positiion to judge The Mail's take on the situation.

It will generally be those who disagree that take the trouble to make their voices heard. That's how it's always worked innit confised

Why are they idiots because they think Wilson was a good manager his record at pools stands up for itself.
Turner takes the reigns wins a game we would have won any way and its a rosie in the garden. sctatchinghead

I take you werent there Mouldy? I take it you didnt see the difference in the players attitude, you didnt sense the air of optimism, you didnt notice CT leave Foley out of the 16, you didnt notice CT make intelligent substitutions, you didnt notice a manager spend the whole 90 minutes at the end of the technical area barking out instructions?

Wilson was a fking rubbish manager.

And a tosswit.

I didn't like him and I'm over the moon that he has gone.

I reckon Jeff Stelling said it best on Saturday, "A big thank you to Danny Wilson who left Hartlepool this week" rolfl clappp rolfl

I think the most noticeable difference was the players who started all giving that extra 5% which normally happens when a manager goes, the players who were in a comfort zone under Wilson aren't any more. I thought the likes of Liddle had his best game for a long, long time he was even getting forward and having shots like he used to when he first joined. He'd became a backwards and sideways merchant under Wilson.

With Wilson in charge I'd already penciled in a defeat at Scunthorpe, I wasn't going to go, now I feel we have half a sniff. I didn't dislike Danny Wilson but I do feel different now he's gone, an element of staleness and inevitability has been removed. It's more a change of attitude, like when Turner was talking about the top six the other day, Wilson has spent all season talking down our chances. Let's get in peoples faces and have a go, like we did under Cooper.

Oh please. A like-for-like substitution when Porter was knackered with 20 minutes left, and then a pretty pointless second substitution 5 minutes from the end. What intelligence was needed for that? If that had been Wilson he'd have been hammered for not getting Monkhouse on earlier, for not taking the opportunity of giving Rowell 20 minutes against a ten-man beaten team, etc etc

There were encouraging signs on Friday, but let's not get carried away.

Oh why not allow yourself a little excitement? The sub was right, and it wasnt Foley that came on, like it seemed to be, every week under Wilson. You dampen it for yourself if you wish, but leave me alone to feel the excitement of the rest of the season. Something we havent had for over a year.

IF he was the one who suggested IOR move over to let someone else have a go at running the club, I would class that as qualifying for detention under the relevant mental health Act...if.

I didn't send that yet in...but doesn't mean to say I won't send one in ! Mine will be about too many darkies though.

Only concerning IOR and how it deals with managers, not about Turner taking over at the Club. He had my full 100% support before Friday night, and of course, now he still has, that shouldn't change.

Are the letters on the Mail website ?

Why don't you offer them all your expansive experience of resolving disputes with managers, I'm sure they'll find it hard to decline such a welcome offer.
p.s. .... as you don't know the reasons behind Wilsons 'departure', how can you point the finger at IOR, what if Wilson wanted to leave and asked for it to remain confidential ?

1 - We dont know for certain wether he was sacked, walked out or came to a mutual agreement.

2 - If he was sacked we dont know the circumstances so cant be certain of the validity

1 -Well, if the BBC and Sky are using the word sacked and nobody's said that that isn't the case - I so want Hodcraft to come out and say something - then he must have been sacked.

2 - What do you mean "validity" ?

He was definitely sacked, the LMA bloke was on 'Five Live' last Monday who had spoken to Wilson who had confirmed to him that he had no idea that it was coming and he that he was sacked.

With all due respect to the naive POK, his comments when it comes to Pools should be taken with a pinch of salt he is more distanced than Danny Wilson ever was he has no idea about what type of club Pools are. He's a Pools fan but he isn't a die hard, his comments on the Wilson issue have highlighted this, his views have been as out of touch and as patronising as the national (and local) media.

Not once has anybody representing either the club or Danny Wilson confirmed that he was sacked. What BBC & Sky say is not guaranteed to be true.

What I mean by validity is that the club may have had a valid reason to sack him.A football manager is an employee just like anyones else with a job & as such has terms & conditions of employment. If an employee has done something that seriously contravenes those terms then an employer has a valid reason for a sacking.

That is why a statement such as yours is wrong.
