Hartlepool is set to get its first lap dancing club following the withdrawal of all objections.

Stockton-based LBB Leisure Ltd hopes to open the club in Whitby Street and applied for a licence in November.

However, objections were lodged by Cleveland Police, two departments in Hartlepool Council and a resident.

Following talks with those objecting to the club, the company has now agreed a number of conditions and the council granted a licence on Wednesday.

Ian Harrison, Hartlepool Council's Principal Licensing Officer, said: "A wide range of legally-binding conditions have been attached to the licence.

"These include the installation of a comprehensive CCTV system and the introduction of strict rules regarding contact between customers and dancers, to ensure that the club operates safely and does not pose a risk to any vulnerable groups.

"Like all licensed premises, the club will be closely monitored to ensure that all licence conditions are adhered to."

I've never been to a lap dancing club and have no intention of ever going to one.

Nope he's not.

Whats the point in wasting money too see some single mam dance for 5 minutes, who you can't touch.

I can sit at home and either...

A. Play with our lass

B. Watch porn, and i can at least touch myself.

I suggest its not about morals, but more to do with the simple fact that maybe Ripper has no problem attracting women with good looks and charm.

Those that need lap dancing clubs will be those with faces like smacked arses, that cant get women, or pervy types that look like paedo's.

I too dont see the point in these things. 1st off you have to pay over the odds to get in. the drinks are in the region of £3.50 - £4 a bottle, then pay to have a dance, that you cant touch!!

SO if you bought say three drinks (£12), £8 entrance, and £10 for a dance. Providing you only have one dance, that is £30 you have spent. now i know that you could go to any night club, spend £30 on drink on any woman, and they will eb pritty much your sex slave for the night.

so why fund such a waste of a project.

However, the manager will be laughing all the way to the bank with sad fcukers who do frequent to these places!!!!!
