After careful consideration, I think we should sign him in January. He’s starting to look like the real deal now and he's a winner. Will Hull sell him? Will we buy? How much will we offer? I know Hull bought him for £500k, so would be able to afford him.

Also would he want to stay here permanently?

If we all send him a Christmas card that might sway him to stay.

Somebody said today Hull are looking to sell for about £200k

Don't know if that's right like, but that's the rumour

IOR did say that we'd get some of the Boydy money reinvested into the squad. I hope we sign him.

He did very well today, very cool for his first goal, early days yet though, lets see if he can play like this for a few games in a row! He certainly has promise though

If he starts knocking the goals in for us I imagine he will want to go back to Hull and hope to prove himself there - in a higher division.
One last chance before dropping down two divisions.
Also, if he starts knocking the goals in he may get more of a chance there. I dont expect to sign him in January but maybe in the summer.

Hull paid £250k for him.

Pools were allegedly ready to spend £100k on Joachim.

If we were to sign Duffy I reckon that we wouldn't pay more than £100k although with his age there may be scope for add-ons, sell-on clauses etc to sway Hull into thinking that they may eventually recoup their £250k.

If Pools are willing to spend and Hull are willing to sell then the key would be whether or not the player wants to come here.

The fact that the loan deal only runs until the first day of the transfer window leads me to believe that Hull may well be looking to sell him in January, but who knows if anybody else may also be interested.

I'd say paying £200,000 for Duffy would be better business any day of week than spending £100,000 on Joachim. If we do have the chance we have GOT to sign the lad Wilson said Boyd would be replaced, well we are still waiting but I for one would be content with the wait if that singing was Duffy. At 22 years old there is plenty of scope if he is a success to sell him at a profit as well.

One way to look at would be signing a younger replacement for Boydy at a £300,000 profit!

It's quite qell known that Peter Taylor signed him before he hopped off to Crystal Palace and their new manager has different plans. He says he jumped at the chance to come up to Pools so the signs look quite good. Lets see if he reaches double figures in December!!

A bit of a double edged sword or poisoned chalice or whatever the correct saying is. If he does well for us, his price will go up and Hull may well want him back - if he doesn't do well for us then we won't want him and neither will Hull.
I suggest he gets into good scoring positions but at the last minute doesn't go for goal but opts to pass to an imaginary team mate or blasts the ball wide - a bit like all of our other forwards in the last 18 months.

According to the papers. Swansea and Barnsley are after him, bugger.

Well hopefully, with him being Scottish, unless the moneys exceptional at Swansea or Barnsley, he'll opt to be a bit closer to home.

Of course this a very thin straw to clutch but we have experience of homesick Scots don't we??
