No, it's only unfortunate because you're thinking of the quote comically.

Think about it without trying to make a joke and actually that is a top quote there from his Lordship, exactly how I feel as a Pools fan and how most people about what a great thing football is.

Thing is, Mr Kent, the phrase is unfortunate because it makes one think of the quote comically.

However I agree it's one of Peter's more endearing remarks....perhaps his only endearing remark ever.........depending, of course, on his motive for saying it.
