thankyou very much, the other bright light of the season would of been to have sat in there last night instead of watching that pathetic performance.A good turn out last night and some welcome new faces, and some old crusty ones, av it

As Nobby said, thank you very much fellas, it really is good to see so many people in that little bit earlier too, it all helps to create a nice atmosphere around the place, last season me and Nobby would often be in around 6ish for a night game and there'd be no more than half a dozen others in til well after 7 whereas now there's a decent crowd in just after 6, same on a Saturday, people in from around 12.30 where before it was more like after 2.
Obviously we'd be happier on the other side of the bar but we still get plenty of craic and believe me we thouroughly enjoy it, even the 'crusty' moaning ones, seriously it's so good to see so many Poolies in one pub again before AND after a game.
Remember if anyone has any ideas for stuff on a matchday or any complaints, then please let us know and we'll do our best (plastic glasses, we can't do nothing about I'm afraid)
Thanks again folks. clappp clappp clappp clappp

How about a football card, Dave? Easy as piss to organise, something like 20 quid for the winner and rest to charity/kitty to deck the rest of the pub out in Pools gear.

Another thing, on the tele last night it was Zenit St Petersburg vs Juventus, not a great match for your average Millhouse customer I suspect but didn't bother me as couldn't see the tele from where I was sat anyway. In future if there is no English live game then I'm sure a few people from here could loan a DVD of Pools games from the last couple of years. I have the West Brom game if you ever want to borrow that?

I've been in prematch for the last few home games and it has been excellent.

Funnily enough Taxman, someone actually asked for that game on last night, can't say I was too impressed meself like, I thought exactly the same as you, anyhow onto the DVD thing, we were offered Pools away games by Pools themselves, which we accepted immediately but since then we have been unable to get any sort of contact with the person involved, I'll try again soon, but leave it with us for now.
To be honest I thought we might have had a bit more contact from the club seeing as we are the only PUB in town openly showing support for Pools but we've never had a single official or member of staff in yet despite being invited (except Dugout Paddy, he has been in like, gave me some money, went, came back 10 mins later and took it back off me, for the shirt thing).
We still have stuff to put on the walls which we will eventually get round to doing bbolt

Ha ha you only have to ask you daft owld 'so and so', there's a kettle stood on the end of the bar, though you were about 6ft from it so you probably couldn't make it out rolfl rolfl

We don't actually sell it cos its really for the staff but we'd always make an exception for the owld folks bbolt

Do a first goal time raffle sort of thingy, sell 1-91 raffle tickets at a pound a pop (dont let people have a choice, make them pick out of a hat/glass/bag whatever), 91 being a 0-0 draw, and whichever ticket has the same number as the time of the first goal wins the cash.

just an idea like.

Golden Goal tickets?

Was thinking that myself before I got to your post, but more along the lines of a free ticket for every 6 pints / bottles you buy and the prize is paid in beer.

Or you could just bar Dibble.
