Sorry for being negative but are you being totally honest when you say that it 'looks good'. It looks shite to me, a complete mess.

I know I will get slaughtered for saying as such but im used to it.

Well since you put it that way I see your point. Very persuasive and articulate.

Have you actually seen it? Or are you basing it on the one photo that's been posted on here? Or are you basing it on your negative perspective on pretty much everything?

Just an example of a sponsored brick wall type thingy off the interweb...

Spot the difference...

See how professional it looks.

I think it's good, its a frigging wall, what do you want from it?

For what it is, a wall, it looks good

I see many walls daily so dont normally comment on them, but for a wall, with the sentiment and stuff, it works

Better than the walk way idea, imagine walking along and seeing a dog shit on your brick surely?

LOL, there is an obsession with dog turd on this board!

I doubt many dogs will want to pee up against that wall, not unless they have done a thorough risk assessment anyway

I never used to like dog turd till i posted on here.

Anyone ever see Vic Reeves on room 101 where he had a dog turd calender?

Seriously though... the wall does what it says on the tin, something to look back on, see maidens name, mullens, barron etc

Agreed, but it is a bit naff when you consider that its a centerary year event. Sort of like the scoreboard scenario, good idea but flawed (you need a friggin telescope to see it)

Nice tribute to your brother in law. My point simply is that the wall looks rubbish compared to most sponsored walls/bricks and the like

That's because they've used cheap bricks. It would have only been a couple of quid more to use good ones and for £80 a pop they bloody well should have.

Aye. They haven't used a proper brickie either, look at how thick the mortar is between the bricks. A real bricklayer would top himself if he'd done that.
