Thats all that can be said about today's performance.

2-0 down at half time, could have been worse. A defence that looked like they had met each other 5 minutes before kick off. Nelson attempting to win more headers against his TEAM MATES than the opposition, going for numerous balls that other's were also going for. Defenders NOT KNOWING who they were supposed to be marking, at dead ball situations. Ricketts gets free header for first goal, next corner Nelson takes him, corner after that Sweeney takes him, its a case of after you no after you.

Kyle, waste of a shirt.Did bit after we scored, seen to say to Brown in stoppage time, when we have a corner, and he stood short as if to take it back there..... "not to me Im F*****". I dont how how as he only seemed to try in last 20, missed a sitter of a header in the first half.

I was astonished at the substitutions, couldnt work them out. But Robson proved to be the saviour, got to the bye line to put ball into dangerous area for Sweeney to get the first and scored a beauty from 25-30 yards , well worth watching on tv tomorrow.

Walsall seemed to drop their heads once we got first ,they went down more when we equalised, but even then I would have been ECSTATIC with a point. Good save near end by ALB meant we managed all three.

BUT we cant put performances like that on, if we do we will LOSE more than we win.

MAYBE the fact we came back kept Wilson in a job, I dont say that likely, until today I had never really seen him celebrate goals scored by us. Today he was almost on the pitch punching and celebrating the first 2 goals, I cant comment on the third I was celebrating to much myself. Perhaps he knew a defeat would see him go soon.

I believe and this is just an opinion, that something is going on behind the scenes.

Do the player's want to play for Wilson ?

Have any of the player's got problem's with other player's ?

They simple questions that I will get opinions on but wont get a definitive answer.

So for anyone who looking at the table thinking if we win our next 2 home games we'll be in the mix, should give their heads a shake, because if we play like we did today we wont do that. You can actually start to look at the next 4 games because if we play as we can, then all 4 are winnable. On what I saw today, we may get 2 points if our performances in them are anywhere near as bad. Meaning those optimists (and I'm usually one of them) will be saying we can avoid relegation.

We win and I'm negative, never thought I would see the day.

Wewon becuase the players seemed to take things into thier own hands after the two substitutions. They started playing football - sweeney (my man of match) started running at them. We stopped lumping the ball forward to Kyle - ignored him (may as well have had 10 men all match anyway) Think taking Porter & Monkey off was final straw for some lads today - with kyle staying on. Think he's a disruptive influence we don't need. He only started playing when we were 3 - 2 up . Sorry mate we need grafters here - not premadonnas!

Look who scored - Sweens Robson Brown grafters. Great to see Matty once again silence his critics.

Went to the Walsall match yesterday, only 30 minutes up the road so one of my closest Pools games.

Have to agree with everything that Bob says. People who think this result is a turning point be warned!

The Pools defence was dire first half, Nelson (who I feel has been poor for 2 seasons) was a lost sole and Collins was a Sunday league defender. You would thought the back 2 have never seen each other before. Brown was a lost on the right wing, Jones gave the ball away, Clark seemed to slow down play whenever it was going forward. Kyle was absolutly rubbish. This guy is supposed to be on £8000 a week! Wilson needs to go to Specsavers if he thinks he is better than Barker.

Walsall we not that good, we we just that poor and I expected to go 4-0 down before the break. Well the break came and went and my thoughts of dropping Clark back for Collins and bringing on Liddle proved a fairytale. Walsall again where the better side and could have added another, then it happened. THE SUBS.

Stuart, Sheila, Graham, Richard, the teacher from Derby(never remember his name) and me all where guessing the various different changes that could and should happen. Jones, Kyle, Brown , Clark, Richie were all mentioned but.... Wilson chooses to bring on Foley and Robson for Monkhouse and Porter. We all went white! Anger set in. Crys of " You dont know what your doing " rang out.

Well Robson must have drank Red Bull because he was magnificent, wanted the ball, helped richie and ran at walsall defence like a man practicing for halloween ( A man possessed if anyone did not get that joke). He was enjoying himself that much he even beat the rightback twice on one move. He crossed the ball and BANG Sweeney 2-1. Then a few minutes later he finds himself free of the defenders running down the left flank, " Hit the F***er" I shout, he hears my call and fires the shot. Stuart is moaning next to me as soon as it leaves his foot but staurts moans turn to utter disbelief as the top right hand corner net feels the full force of the ball! 2-2. Well Walsall heads are down Hartlepool sense the win. Sweeney cross Brown header and a crowd of Pools fans rush to congratulate Brown, who gets booked for leaving the field. We are all shell shocked. "Wilson has more lives than a cat" someone sayes. Walsall could have got a late equalizer but for some brillant goalkeeping from Aaron but it ends 2-3. Wow. The fans are gobsmacked and the players are equally thrilled. Sweeney punches the air, Richie shakes his fist and Kyle walks head down as quick as possible towards the tunnel.

Yes we won and it will live with me for a long time. People be warned Walsall were a poor team and we cannot keep doing this comeback thing, especially against stronger opposition. We all seem to forget that Wilson made 2 substituations during the game the other being Foley. Foley was again poor, he cannot control the ball, when he gets the ball he goes backwards and his contribution was minimal. Foley in fact should have made it 4 but missed a sitter much to our dismay.
Those of you that can remember we also sang " you dont know what you doing" to Newell at Kidderminster some years back and we came from behind to get a draw. We all know how popular Newell was and how that ended.

Something needs to change and fast, otherwise we WILL be in a relegation fight. Yes a great win but the bigger picture is far more worrying. Kyle is rubbish, our lack of depth and finally our back 4 who are poor ,playing out of postion, both rubbish and finally playing there because he is club captain and not young enough to play midfield anymore.

Its going to be a long season. Enjoy yesterday and today, but be warned the future is not orange its a dark grey/black!!!!

The first half we where shocking but second ahlf played better. Brown was soo moreedangerous when he went upfront! Matty did really well when he came on gave us width and but some great balls in! Kyle was shocking again and he should off made way NOT Porter!

Pleasing result but for the 1st 70 mins we were a sunday league side and either Walsall were good or we were extremely shiite. Wilsons Subs baffled me and everyone else... How on earth does he think that Foley is a more goalscoring threat than Porter sctatchinghead
Anyway we played well in the last 20 mins but yet another defensive error nearly lost us two points if not for a wondeful save from ALB at the end

For all of use who who went, did anyone see Danny move in his dugout or have Walsall built a statue of him or summit sctatchinghead

Midland Poolie

The mist begins to clear - another post from someone who was there, and basically backs up those posts made by Fetish Bob, Poolie in Nottingham and Daniel Gaunt.

However there are still people on here and on Into The Blue berating the folks who had basically had enough yesterday - me included - but there are none so blind as those who will not see.

Anyone with even half a brain should see that we are heading for trouble unless the defence is sorted out.
