.....you had a ZERO percent expectation of Pools winning a League football match?
Even under Scotty I held out SOME hope, but now I have none, absolutely not a scrap, that we can win this game today.
The only thing I'm not sure about in my mind is the margin of defeat.

I hope the players and management are pleased with their collective efforts, and read this somehow before the game on someone's laptop.

Aw come on man, I've never had ZERO expectation. An infinitessimally small expectation perhaps but never zero!
There's nothing proving that they can't be as inadequate as us on the day!

I'm the same, at least when it comes to away games

I used to go to all the away matches and expect to get tonked and more often then not we did, but I expected it with the teams we used to field

Our squad, on paper at least, is up there with the play off contenders, but due to a piss weak manager and coach, we will do fcuk all because they are willing to accept mediocre performances week in and week out on the road and aren't prepared to put their boot up anyone’s arse

Because when your team's form is a bit iffy you tend to get the impression everyone else is bringing the house down. It reminds me of the time I used to run the odd 1/2 marathon. I inevitably started weakening with about half the race gone and thought everyone was overtaking me and I would finsih with the old ladies at the back. But I still always managed to finish in the top third of the field. I was ignoring other runners' probably feeling a lot worse than I did.

2 wins from 22 away games is more than a bit "iffy"!!
At 2-0 down I went beserk, because I hate it when my team can be repeatedly so weak away from home. I certainly fight my corner - I don't back down, literally, and I that is why I don't expect such a poor return from people who are in a physical contact sport to make me feel so let down time after time

You can bet your life you feel better tonight that the Walsall supporters do. They'll have some pretty harsh things to say about their team carving defeat from a two goal lead with less than half an hour to play.

They shouldn't. It's 11 players against 11, one manager against one on the day. There's nothing certain about the outcome, not at any point in the game, not even if one manager is a proven plonk and half your defenders can't defend.
