Good for him, another two years of being a professional football, can't be bad.

why?

he was reliable, always gave 100% and guarenteed to score goals!!!! ok age was getting the better of him, but he was a true professional. I hope we get rotherham in the fa cup so we can give him a decent reception and send off!!!!

I wish him good luck, but I certainly don't miss him.

He came in and did a very important job, in my opinion, he's not good enough for League One.

The only way it could be premenant is if we've cancelled his contract and he became a free agent... allowing him to sign for rotherham.

he's more mobile than Barker - that's clear, however he can't control a football like Barker!!!

And are we really going to do that given the current cover for the front two?

Well if its true, then its the only way it could happen.

"Barker was allowed to leave Pools after boss Danny Wilson signed former Sunderland striker Kevin Kyle"

Unless im mistaken, the Echo is the only paper reporting this... could be a crock of shit.

As far as I know nothing stops him signing a contract that takes effect on the 1st January.

Surely being under contract to us until the end of the season would stop him? sctatchinghead

By the sounds of it, not you.

Are you a Diddlesbrough supporter?

Er, yes, indeed. The unsaid part was that Pools sign an agreement to release him on said date for £££.

He cannot sign a deal with Rotherham till January and will officially remain a Pools player till then... as the club have confirmed.

Too much skim reading I presume.
The report clearly states;
Quote:
But the arrangement will be turned into a permanent one come the new year.

So it's probably just some kind of pre-agreement of sorts.

Cheeky bounder

He's gone, why all the gnashing and wringing of hands regarding his contract?

Perhaps we should care more about getting a fee for him?
