...that's all I hear now when he speaks, the same dull monotone opinion making the same dull montone points ..I DON'T CARE.
No matter who comes in, we seem to have a standard we play down to, any vaguely 'famous' player, now matter how tenuous the link, is made welcome, as he proceeds to rebuild his team around their unproven talents for the time they're here. We don't have team plan as such, we have a sort of fotball Lego kit were things are dismantled when he gets bored with the present set up because he wants to try something else. As for Kyle ....he's just another in a long list of signings that are like lighthouses in the middle of Wilsons football desert, .... and like lighthouses in the desert you have to ask ....what's the point?
Let me know when he's gone, it's just tedious now. yawn1

I don't think he actually says anything when his mouth opens - what you hear is is a collection of pre-recorded football speak and cliches, and when the tape finishes it just goes back to the start and repeats itself. Any given interview could begin 5 minutes into the tape or whatever.
It would be more interesting if he cracked some jokes, or sang a song or summat - I might listen then.
I haven't read or listened to one of his interviews in any medium now for ages - I avoid it at all costs.

Not sure I entirely agree with your point abouty the famous signings. We haven't made too many under Wilson's tenure. Alan Thompson and Robbie Elliott, and now maybe Kyle at a push. The others have been tried and tested Football League players (Barker, Boland, Gibb, Moore, Monkhouse) or unproven gambles (Liddle, Antwi, McCunnie, Lee-Barrett). My main gripe with Wilson isn't the players he has brought in; it's that no matter how many times he talks about playing with style (and we really have played some wonderful stuff at times in the last 2-3 years), you get the nagging feeling that he would rather put his trust in a more prosaic type of football and footballer.
I was being sarcastic, hence the emphasis on the word famous in the original post. I'm just sick of the cliche ridden nonsense that managers seem to talk. It's as though they have some mystic insight above mere mortals like us, because they happened to play a fairly simple game at a reasonable level, they elevate it to a science ...which it aint, never was and never will be.
Wilson personifies that for me, like Scotty, he chunters and nobody listens ...what's the point?
