I know this is a bit late, but can I just say the 'blues brothers' theme at Leicester the other week looked class. It made me remember a game at Halifax in the late 80's when a big group turned up in chemical suits sctatchinghead and wondered what other themes people have seen at away matches over the years?

I think Mr Chimes was in the chemical suit group, anyone else remember that?

Me and Crimes wre part of that group and possibly Katcha as well. It was the day John Smart turned up in his roller and it was apparently surrouded by angry pools fans not very happy with limited signings pre season.
I think we got stuffed 4-0 and we went to Wetherby for the night out and had a barny with the locals.
The funny thing about that day was Halifax were charging £6 to get in so pools fans protested outside and refused to go in because the home fans were only being charged £4.

After talks with the police they announced any fans who had paid the £6 could get a refund of £2. So a mass cue of pools fans with many going back 3 or 4 times, no tickets given in them days

was that a 3 nil defeat and we were stood in the corner terracing, at the opposite end to where the away end is now? If so, I was there and after the game got my one and only slap at a football match  I was walking back to cleethorpes train station, when a brave group of lads jumped me and another guy.

Yeah, the Grimsby fans invaded the pitch at the end, you'd think they'd won the league, they only finished mid table in division 4

Another end of season game I remember was a couple of Poolies dressed as Brian May & Freddie Mercury of Queen. Think it was at Southend & was the same day that Jimmy Glass the Carlisle keeper scored to keep them in the league.
