and sympathy would be in very short supply for their "fans" as well. Look at how patronising the fans are of even shite clubs in the Championship like Burnley or Preston or Watford or Charlton or whoever. And if any of those fans are reading this - they are no different to Pools in the scheme of things. They have always been also-rans, but in a higher division.
The difference is in the arrogance of the fans of these clubs.
Premier League clubs' fans especially struggle to get their big fat heads through the doors.
As much as we despise the big four in that league, they are in fact the only ones with anything to boast about. Let's be honest, what the fuck can someone like West Ham or Fulham crow about?

I really do hope it all goes pop up the top of the ladder. I wonder what fat frank of chelsea and john terry will do when Abramovic decides he aint going to pay £100 million to bail them out. They will strike, fans decline and they will not pick up their £150,000 a week paycheque. i'll be gutted for them me like!!!!

Like you say Parmo, all the arrogant fans of teh premier league who say, so what division are your club in????

Cant wait to say to a manc... Whats the premier league?

Yep those arrogant premiership fans do my head in.

Travelling around a lot to watch Pools over the years I've bumped into fans of most clubs on trains in pubs etc. Fans of clubs like Pools are nearly always friendly, usually a good laugh, like a drink, loads of interesting/funny stories associated with following their club. (Obviously there have been exceptions to this on occasions, but as a general rule it's not far wrong.) The majority of Premiership fans think they're superior - how stupid does that make them? They will rarely banter with us lower league types and miss out a great journey home where the drink is flowing and everyone regardless of which club they support is cracking on together. Pathetic individuals as far as I'm concerned and their comeuppance can't come soon enough for me.

West Ham may just be the one that goes T**Ts up. Their Chairman is a certain Bjorgolfur Gudmundsson. Who has millions invested in ICEBANK until yesterday he was CHAIRMAN of Icebank. Till he lost his job. He actually owns 90% of West Ham.

And which club could be looking at a £30 MILLION POUND FINE, for the Tevez fiasco.

Yes WEST HAM.

IF anyone fancies a bet on which club in the Premiership will go bust ,risk a few quid at Ladbrokes on them. If you lose ask the government for your money back.

You just beat me to it Fetish_Bob - but here's what I was going to say anyway:

West Ham seem to be one of the prem teams who will suffer - their chairman is also the head of Landsbanki the Icelandish bank that's gone into receivership. That plus the money they owe Sheffield United should be enough to see them struggle.
Who would have thought that Leyton Orient would be the largest East London club followed by Dagenham and Redbridge.

I fkin hate West Ham probably more than any other team in the premiershit.

Excluding Newcastle of course.

Now Newcastle AND West Ham going bust would probably see me empty my balls.

Since my last reply to this thread I read my morning paper (only the Daily mirror). But they have a story which says the Premier League is £3 BILLION IN DEBT. ( I not using zero's we had the discussion of hoW many in a billion on another thread)

Now we know owner's probably wont walk, but here are some of the figures quoted by the Mirror today.( But I bet some small business will go bust because the big clubs wont pay their debts to them until the last minute. Smaller clubs have had to go into administration for a lot less

These figures are all amounts they reckon the respective clubs are in DEBT

Arsenal £268.2 Million
Aston Villa £63.2 Million
Blackburn £20.3 Million
Bolton £43 Million
Chelsea owe Abramovich £619.6 Million
Everton £26.4 Million
Fulham £181.7 Million
Hull £11 Million
Liverpool £350 Million
Man C £103.2 Million
Man U £604 Million
M'Boro £84.6 Million
Newcastle £69.7 Million
Portsmouth £30.8 Million
Stoke C £2 Million
Sunderland £52.6 Million
Spurs £17.2 Million
WBA £4.1 Million
West Ham £41 Million
Wigan £53.7 Million

But more worrying not only for the premiership but for every small club in the land ,right down to grass roots.

The FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION, ARE £400 MILLION IN DEBT.

All very interesting Mr Fetish, but the font of all knowledge The Daily Mail has a similar list but the amounts against each club are different to those in your list!

They blamed the Russians, Jews, Arabs and Yanks.

Is this a worldwide problem then or is it just the premier league in debt?

If it is the full football world is well and truly facked.

Uefa, and the lovely Sepp Bladder, have proposed not letting teams into the champions league with massive debt.

It could be a 5 team compeition next year then rolfl

Paying ridiculous fees and extortionate wages for average players and their agents I would imagine...

Fulham owe all theirs to Muhammad Al Fayed and it's built up over the years. There was a good piece in Private Eye about them and Portsmouth and how they're funded. Al Fayed could cover most of it through selling off a bit of his corner shop in Knightsbridge, there's not much exposure to the bank there. Manchester United's is almost all in the hands of AIG, the American people who're wobbling dangerously.

Now that WOULD be funny if they called it in.

However Arthur Mullard could burp in Swahili.
