I am sure Chip will find this one very pleasing.

Pure quality and it even misses out his best goal IMO (Vs Leeds last week)

Last goal on that clip is amazing. If only was scored in the Prem then we would see it every week.

Before I childishly pull apart the video and Joel Porter, can I say that I have been more impressed with him this season than ever before. And I would probably, against most teams, give him and Browny an hour before bringing Barker on.

But in simple terms Richard Barker's goals per league game for Pools = 0.37
Joel Porter's goals per league game for Pools= 0.24

And before you say it - I know that we are not comparing like for like - and that much more is produced by way of assists.

I'm glad that you agree that given Richard Barker's aerial ability the balance is tipped even further in his favour than the raw numbers reveal.

I will never forget the outstanding chance that Joel had away at Bristol City in the play-off. With less than ten minutes to go- Joel gets the ball just short of the halfway line - a yard or two ahead of the defence. He'd only been on a short while and a tired defender began chasing him . He was so short of stamina/pace/bottle that he ran at the corner instead of at goal.
We should have been at Cardiff a year before we did go.

And he's Australian.

As for the video- if that is the case for the defence then I'm glad you aren't representing me.

Goal by goal:
1. Massive deflection

2. Uncontested shot from 8 yards

3. Empty unguarded net after mistake from keeper - should have cleared Joel out.

4. Uncontested shot from ten yards with keeper on line after brilliant work from another player to create chance.

5. A very good, brave header.

6. A good finish but laughable goalkeeping.

7. Played onside by an idiot. Great rounding of the keeper.

8. Uncontested shot from 8 yards after great work by another player.

9. Good finish

10. Great finish necessitated an appalling first touch.

11. Little contested shot from 4 yards after great work from another player to create the chance.

12. Decent finish.

13. Off his knee. Could have gone anywhere.

14. Uncontested header from 2 yards.

15. Good finish.

16. Outstanding finish from 20 yards.

17. Offside. Fair finish.

18. Best goal he has scored. Strong quick, perceptive.

19. Uncontested shot into an almost empty net from 7 yards.

20. Reasonable finish one on one after good knock on from another player and then an appalling defensive error.

21. Fabulous. Skilful, strong, accurate.

22. Unbelievably greedy. Could have created easy goal for the other striker with a simple pass.. Good finish.

So we're agreed. He doesn't score many. And when he does, apart from 2 or 3, they are not very good.
