Why, he is still one of the most enthusiastic and commited players ever to play for pools, and he never ever hid the fact he was a newcastle fan.

always was and always will be one of my pools heroes.

The book isn't that great but might be worth going just for the craic, typical bunker shite always pull something to bits when there is no need.

He was a rarf with limited talent who ran about fouling people a lot at a time when that was the highest level of expectation from the Pools fans.

He wouldn't get anywhere near a realistic team of best ever Pools players and it's laughable that he's referred to as a legend.

Nah, he just didn't get a testimonial ticket. Not that he's still bitter like

Not rating him as an exceptional footballer has nowt to do with not getting a ticket for his testimonial though. He was an average player who spent most of his time either shining in a below average side or being carried in a decent one. But cos he ran a lot and kicked people he became Mr Popular.

I just don't rate him as a person cos I never got a ticket!

MOD, you do realise that no-one is having a go at BH, it's jut the book is well errr.... cack!

I didn't expect it to reveal secrets such as Steve Tuplings affair with Julie Goodyear or Ian Bennyworths addiction to Jacobs cream crackers, but everything in the book has been told before and there was a few mistakes as well..............

As time goes by and our expectations are more these days, its clear brian wasnt as good as we previously thought. Still a smashing lad thought and gave his all during really dark times. We should not forget that.

The two goals he scored against Maidstone 1990-1 season away game - Pure class. Also the goal he scored against Stockport County from the half way line.

Brian Honour was one of the most enthusiastic, committed players weve ever had, he scored some cracking goals, and is my favourite pools player ever, a poolie legend no doubt ! then again what do i know, i got lambasted on the old site for daring to suggest scooty wasnt the man for the managers job.
