If there is anyway I can connect my laptop to the television, is there any cable or wire I can buy to do this, it is so I can watch stuff that I have downloaded on the TV rather than on the smaller screen

You can get a VGA to Scart Convertor from Amazon, Just go on there and search for VGA to Scart

Should do the trick
