I haven't been to the baths for years - it was since i found out that your eyes sting because of scruffy little shits not washing and pissing in the pool. I thought it was due to over use of chlorine before that.....

Certainly takes me back....do you have any pictures of the Space Invaders Machine and the Asteroids one, I'm sure there was another one in between the two but I can't remember what it was?

How about the big inflateable thing that thery used to put in on a Saturday.

Also those strange basket things in the changing rooms!

Ahhhh...happy days!

some memories there.
I must have paid for those vending machines in the cafe meself the amount of times I bought the kids 10p space raiders or monster munch pickled onion from there after swimming on a sunday morning.I remember harold hornsey used to always be in there sunday mornings with his grandkids back in the dark days, nice bloke.
The mill house was always the cheapest swim in comparison to anywhere else I lived in the country.

Ahhh the memories.

I remember getting the bus from west view, you'd all sit on the bus and see how much you had, me mams give me £2.45... If one kid had a fiver he was pretty much rich!

Whatever happened to that tiny bit of water at the door of the changing rooms just before you got out onto the pool?

I used to love buying a highland toffee bar, sometimes mint, a bag of spaceraiders, and a hot chocolate.

I've only managed to go to Hartlepool twice - Father of Poolie of Kent took us up for a couple of days in October Half Term 2001, we did all the tourist bits, Trincomalee, Marina, Seaton Carew. Went to my first ever Pools home game - the only time in the modern era we've lost 1-0 to Oxford United.

I went back up there for the Leeds home game on Boxing Day 2007.

That's it. I barely recognise the geography apart from it's the only ground I know of, the Vic, that has basketball courts so close to a football ground. Maybe when I went up there for the first time, i remember boys in Newcastle shirts playing basketball on the courts. Very strange.
