Beautiful South were mainly 90s with their hits Perfect 10 and my favourite Rotterdam.

ABBA obviously are not.

Katrina entered....you know what, and won in 1997...as well as her 80s hit Walking On Sunshine.

But wasn't it the lyrics of Perfect 10 that caused the lass who sang Rotterdam to leave the band?? sctatchinghead

local bands I've seen top three (seeing as its a good thing to champion them)

Les Cox Sportif
Moira Stewart
School of Language

all terrific live, in fact better live than studio version - and well worth seeing.

Mind you I live in Newcastle so I'm not sure what most of you would consider local - but definitely worth seeing

I tell what else I do like as well - I think I quite like Mark Knopfler as well.

This is one of his best modern songs that I like for obvious reasons called Wye Aye Man - used as the closing theme in the 3rd Series of Auf Wiedersehen Pet in 2002:

I think I might like Dire Straits as well if I like Knopfler - I've seen a couple of their videos on VH1 and thought they were quite good.
