It's crackers that the Mail isn't able to fully report on Pools matches though. I expect the matches are written up but with no pics it'll make it into a very bland account. I would've thought that Pools reports in the Mail would be regarded by the club as one of it's major promotion vehicles. Sounds like a major footshooting excercise to me.

By the way did you hear that the Liverpool Echo is now going to be printed in Manchester.

I managed to arrange it to get my own back on the scouser that pinched my strimmer.

Well, they're going to have to go back to broadsheet if they want to 'give a wet leg' from Manchester, that's for sure.

To be honest I'm on the club side on that dispute. The papers have had a free ride for donkeys and then the photographers start calling copywrite in, as do the papers employing the photographers. Well, who's actual product are they selling, and now there's a media department, even in the small clubs, it's a different question to be asked. If I've got sympathy, it's for the reporters, who in three cases are genuine fans.

Well, I'm not sure what the dispute is yet, since no official statement is forthcoming. But copyright is copyright...the writer, artist, photographer or whatever has the ownership of her/his work. If capitalists (c. K Marx) are able to demand a cut, where will it end?
