A whopping £23 at Leiceter, with OAP's even having to fork out £21. rage Perhaps it puts Pools prices into perspective somewhat. No wonder Leicester can affort such a large and talented squad.

Good point Geoff.

Leicester can afford to charge that and still get 20,000 people watch them every other week, whereas pools are charging silly money to a small fanbase, and are clearly losing out judging by recent attendances.

We never learn.

How would you expect us to even begin to compete if we charged significantly less than other clubs? We are a very small club compared to some at our level and as fans we have to support the club to help maintain us at that level. If our consistency and form improves the stay aways will be back, the match day admission price has only actually risen £2 in about the last five years.

It is expensive to watch football across the board and our prices are what you pay to watch League One. What should Pools learn? Maybe football in general can learn but you can't have a go at Pools for charging the bog standard admission price.

I know its roughly the same as across the board, but we are one of the worst supported teams anyway, why don't we try something a little bit different to attract fans to what is a not very attractive product (unless of course your a pools fan anyway).

It's old ground that get spoken about a lot. Id just like to see pools say look our crowds are shite (as Hodcroft has done in the past) and try do something about it which will bring people back through the gates...A few quid off the gate price could mean more fans in the ground.

I honestly don't think it would, the only way would to significantly reduce them which we can't afford. We had a poor nothing season last year the early crowds are a hangover of that. Plus nothing really changed in the summer. Start winning and be in a position were we are hovering around the play-offs and they'll be back claiming that they've never been away!

People keep saying that if prices were lower then crowds would increas. Well they were a tenner for the Leicester game, with under 16 free (with an adult) and the "home" crowd was still under 2500. I know it was the Johnstones Paint thingy but we were up against attractive opposition.

A couple of quid of the prices would do little to increase gates and would leave us having to work on lower wages and a more threadbare squad than we already have.

Well, you say that, Geoff, but at least 2 people wouldn't have gone, had it not been only a tenner.

You're no real Poolie, Tree with Hamster, I bet you're only one of those fans that only watches us win.

You're not true, you're not loyal.

Chip if you had read correctly I was not "twisting" about the £23, I was merely putting it into perspectice. My comments about Pools reducing the charge to get bigger crowds was in response to Barkers comment above about Pools charging "silly money".

Don't forget - the leicester match came after two expensive matches - west brom was full price with no student cocessions, and silly prices for scunthorpe - these three matches came close after we'd all forked out for season tickets - money for most of us ain't an endless supply. Sensible lower prices across the games would probably have seen the three games attended by a few more.

ALL matches recently though have been down attendence wise - it's not just us.

What a co ck you are tree. I dont think I can ever recall you having anything positive to say. You must be a depressant or just a natural bell end like Beresford.

If you dont have anything positive to say, keep your trap shut, or better still, dont visit the bunker. you wouldnt be missed!!!!!!

Top post?

Nope.

I thought that "direct personal abuse" was something that we were trying to stay away from?

If so then, "What a co ck you are tree.", falls into that category and should really warrant an apology of some description.
