So Port Vale sold almost 7000 season tickets at 183 a pop. By my reckoning that's just under £1.3m into the club over the summer.

However only 6500 turned up for their league game, what happened to the other 500 odd season ticket holders, and that's if there was no away fans!

Because "The club easily surpassed their initial sales target of 5,000, with the final figure of season tickets sold nearer to 7,000. " doesnt mean they sold 7000 season tickets does it.
