Just been and bought mine. :coool:

Not wearing it yet though as I'm at work and I've not seen anybody in a beer garden wearing one and holding a carrier bag containing the shirt that they went to the club shop in.

Maybe this afternoon...

Excellent shirt by the way, same material as the yellow one which is grand.

Word of warning though, I always buy a large but I picked one up today and it was huge, almost tent like. So I got the medium which is a better fit. I don't think I've lost weight so maybe the sizes are different from previous.

Thankfully I hadn't pre-ordered a large...

Please see tree for full rules of when you can actually wear this shirt ripper.

I've just got the nod from him to wear my shirt from the first play-off season, so i'm over the button moon on that.

Wear it at football on wednesday and that is equal to beer gardenesq wearing of the shirt.

That must be to give everyone the 'Feel Good Factor' that they are not as large / fat / obese as they thought they were and then they can go and by the pies & beer on sale with impunity.

Cos Tree hates people who buy the shirt and then on the very same day, not the day after, not a week, strut about town in it, as if saying hey, i have the new pools shirt, look at me everyone!

So he believes you should wait, and has set a time period with which you can legally wait to wear your pools top...

See his terms and conditions for details

LOL, this is funny.

I can sort of see where tree is coming from. Adults buying a new shirt and wearing it immediately is actually just one stage up from kids who buy the full strip including socks and wear them to Asda.

Absolutely loads of stock on the shelves when I was there about 10ish this morning.

All shapes and sizes.

And that didn't include all of the pre-ordered ones which were bagged up at the back.

I'll be surprised if they haven't "ordered enough".

I've just seen a bloke walking down my street wearing one, I didn't get an accurate description Tree I apologise but I'd estimate the size to be XXL

Tree, let me just get one thing straight. Less than a couple of weeks ago who were calling Pools 'useless not nice people' for not having the strip out before the season saying they are losing money as everyone wants the new kit early, even saying it should have been out straight after last season. Now when it's on sale in time for the second home friendly you are lamenting people for buying it.

It sums you up rolfl

I've been in London this weekend so i have yet to see anyone wearing the new Pools top. I also haven't pre ordered one but I shall be purchasing one at some point in the near future.

There is nothing wrong with buying the new Pools top but wearing it on the same day of purchase - especially on the day of release within minutes of making the transaction is a bit sad.

When people buy new Calvins from Debhenhams - do they change their duds straight away ?

Sad? SAD? There's only one sad fookah here and it's not the guy who puts the shirt on straight away! You miserable git Jonny.
When you buy your vodka and fresh orange juice do you have pangs of remorse if you're tempted to start drinking it within minutes?

As for buying vodka and fresh orange - the protocol is different depending on whether you buy from a public house or a supermarket.......

By my reckoning the correct protocol is if you want the shirt & have the money then buy it whenever you like.
Once you have the shirt wear it whenever you want.

I wonder how many tossers there are that have such a sad life that they give a shit about what anyone else is wearing.

I will have the shirt on Xmas day as a prezzie from my kids & will probably wear it the 1st time I go for a pint after getting it.
I dont hope thats OK as it will be my shirt & I will wear it whenever the feck I like regardless of anyone elses opinion

Thank fuck for that, I've been waiting for a sensible comment.

I love the concept of it being morally reprehensible to wear a new shirt. It's like buying a computer or a mobile phone and stashing it away for a month.

If I bought one straight away, I'd wear it too, even if it was so small that it looked like it was painted on (which it may well do  )

My birthday is in a week, the 7th.

What are the guidelines on 'birthday wearing' of the new shirt?

Do same rules apply?

Technically i will have waited over a week to get it with it being the 7th, but as i had just received the shirt on the day, am i ok to wear it then?

I need too see the rule book for this.

Some great point missing going on here.
Jonny if you drink your vodka and fresh orange juice in the pub straight away it's because you CAN. If you do the same thing in the street there's a good chance you'll pick up a fine. There is however no law against drinking a can of coke in public and I'm sure plenty of people do that as soon as they get out of the shop.
Similarly there are no laws against wearing Pools shirts in public. Just pillocks like you and hamster who say it shouldn't be done before you get home. Fortunately no one gives a fook about derision like yours when choosing when to wear what, otherwise it really would be a SAD world.

I have an ideal solution for you: buy everything on the Internet, then waiting till you get it home becomes a non-issue.

I personally haven't bought a Pools shirt yet but there's plenty of times I've walked out of shops in stuff I've just bought.

the wife walked out of the shop in her new shoes she'd just bought the other week. Mind you there were holes in the bottom of the ones she'd walked in with, and it was raining!!!!!!
I relented and allowed her to buy the shoes on account of her feet were always getting wet.

And she was going to punch me napper in.

There are exceptions to these rules, there are some items that you have to wait until you get home to try on.

For example, I was impressed with a new condom product which has extra ribs. No sooner had I left the shop when I was overcome with a desire to try on my purchase. As I walked down the street proudly exhibiting my new condom, imagine then my horror when I thrown to the floor by the police and arrested on the spot.

Do you really try hard to be a dickhead TWH or does it come naturally??

I mean can you see tracy in the shop letting you put a shirt on and parading round the shop without buying it first?

I think you are a bit confused to be honest. I dont think Tree was implying this. I seriously doubt "Tracy" would let you wear it prior to purchse anyway, this would be good customer sevice, not something which you would expect of Pools.
