Who was tragically killed in Amsterdam 4 years ago today while supporting his beloved pools.
Gone but not forgotten we will always be united.

What a proud Dad he must be!!!
Kev knows what a good man he was, this made Kev a better man. Right good man, and he knows it, he is holding the 1st Marcus Purdy Cup high and proud. well done to the rest of the team for winning it, it was for Marc.

I didn't know Marc well but I spoke to him a fair few times and he was always a good laugh, positive and so full of life. I saw him in Eindhoven on what turned out to be a bad, bad night and I was stunned by the news the following morning.

Very sad, but it's good to see so many positive memories of the lad which I hope are some comfort to his parents.

Well where do I start regarding our Marc. His dad John is my close cousin and every time I go back home, his is one of the first port of calls on my list. When I first heard of Marcs death, I was lied in bed pissed after a mates 40th here from leicester. My mother made the call ( john's mum and my mum where twins). At first I like every one coudn't believe it. It still pains me today when I think back how chirpy and full of life he was all through his life. Sorry will end it here to emotional to carry on

the camerons where an off it team even for sunday afternoon standards! the arguments and near full blown punch ups between each other where hilarious. but i was over the moon when they cleaned up that year even if they did take my beloved brus arms to the cleaners on many occasions!

but everytime i hear the name marc purdy, reminds me of the legendery story of when the camerons where getting beat 2-1 or something and it was in the height of the days of claudio raineri and his tinkering and purdy made a questionable substitution which some where not happy with i think but the player he brought on scored...cue purdy jumping up down the touch line shouting "yes yes claudio ran-purdy".

he was a cracking, cracking lad, who i did not know totally well but he would never of let me pass him in the street without telling me some mental gossip about footy or pools!

my thoughts are with all his family and friends now and always.
