Post subject: Surely a postive from last night

Is Danny Wilson surely now knows that the likes of Brackstone, Maidens, Bullock, and sadly Eifion Williams aren't good enough to play for us again.

He has to have seen it? How slow is Lee Bullock?? He's either getting caught on the ball and making a slide tackle due to his lack of pace. He is the most one paced (slow) 'footballer' I have ever seen play for Pools. Brackstone and Maidens will never make pro footballers IMO. Maidens is a winger has he ever a)beat a man? or b) put over a good cross over? During his time in the first team. Its harsh to say about young lads but it needs to be said. Brackstone just gives you a horrible feeling in your stomach every time he goes near the ball!

Eifion has been a great player for Pools but now he offers nothing. He used to be sharp in and around the box, and used to have a turn on pace. These days we just don't see anything from him. The key word are 'used to.'

We have plenty of 'dead wood' that had nothing to do with Danny Wilson, this is one of the main reasons why the bloke needs to be given time to turn things around. I negative attitude from the stands will get us nowhere at the minute calling for the managers head, another change of manager is the last thing we need as the process of a new manager slowly weeding out all of the shite will have to start again.

We must give Danny Wilson time!

The thing is Wilson clearly doesn't know this, hence why he is continually playing them.

Truth is Mr Tax that each and every combination of players that we and anyone else has advocated has been tried and failed at some point in the last 18 months. Bullock is crap as you say but no one else has performed to a level that has ousted him from the squad. Even the oft quoted Strachan has played in some god awful games.

Willie Boland was back to his most impressive self on Saturday. It was stupid to leave him out last night, we should be using games last night to forge partnerships and not players non league crap like Lee Bullock.

Rubbish, its a mickey mouse cup (albeit with a nice carrott of Cardiff at the end of it), much more important to us is the league, what with Boland being injured recently last nights decision to leave him out makes a lot of sense as it means he's fresh for Barnet which is a much more important game.

If its much more important for the league, why don't we use opportunities like last night go help form partnerships instead of playing useless, rusty, good for nothing, Gateshead bound, overpaid shit like Lee Bullock with good solid players like Willie Boland?

I guess the answer is that we need him (Bolland) fit to perform on Saturday. As far up as the forwards we played well. I'm actually pleased that Porter is injured, I believe that he's been carried for most games this season.

i think if you took porters assists, goals, and won penalties out of the equation we would have scored hardly any goals at all this season. watch the peterboro highlights if you dont believe me. fact is he has been carrying the rest of them on his injured back and looks to be getting sick of it. we played 85 minutes without him last night and our 3 other forwards never had a worthwhile shot.

you will be hoping for nelson to get injured next.

I thik that is a fair point

That is a cracking post, I can't tell you how pissed off i've been secretly getting on the Town End when the goons have started telling him to "welcome to the board" and saying "i'd sell that lazy get in January."

He is easily our most creative player. Why would you want rid?

perhaps he would be better off sitting in the stands for a few games and letting everyone see just how bad we are without him.

Er, didn't we already do that?

Joel was disgraceful against darlow the way he kept sitting on his arse.

But that said, he is the best striker we have by a country mile.

against darlow joel held the ball up excellently, and there was sod-all movement around him. he'll have been frustrated as hell.

So if I understand right we have two main strikers who are good at holding the ball up.

I think on balance I'd rather have two strikers who did fook all else but put the ball in the net.
What's worrying me is that if this continues we might see Proctor back in the side. Not that he'd do any worse like. I suppose at least he's better at scoring against Darlo than the others!

Any player who might score is much better option than players who continually fail to score.

Indeed i cant recall one single occasion this season when mr daly has supplied the pass for a team-mate to score.

Daly chased a ball on Saturday, kept it in a laid it back into the penalty area, for Porter, but Clarke got a tackle in before Joel could finish. Sounds like the story of our season so far.
