Twats.
If you want or need a cheap replacement you could contact Recyke Y Bike in Byker, Newcastle. They have a website and make up bikes that have been donated by public or not claimed from police stations. It wouldnt be owt fancy (60 or 70 quid) but it will have been properly made as they're all trained bike mechanics. I could even bring one down to you as I'm coming to Hartlepool this Friday and prob next week too. Or maybe there's something similar in Hartlepool or nearer?

anyhows thanks for all yr kind words. im weighing up my options at present, but as im absolutely brassic im probably just gonna get one out of the catalouge on a buy now, pay some time in the distant future at a shocking rate of interest, like everyone else round here does.

That's were i lock mine up but i've stuck about 3 locks on it. Also thats the guy we have on CCTV.. What time did he take it?

How did he actually get it off? did he take off the railing or cut through the chain? As i think i might move mine infront of the reception

My sympathy to you two!!!!

Surely if Bikes are getting nicked often from outside garlands they as employers have a duty of care to provide a Bike Parking Shed or something like what you get a Train Stations for Bikes....I mean....aren't we getting told to go Green and leave the car at home?!?! confised

Mutley,

We have a bike cage out the back which is not even secure, My first bike was nicked from there as he just jumped over the wall from out the back and threw the bike over. All i can do is make it as difficult as i can for them

Buy a proper heavy duty lock mate, you can never be too sure!

On my ped ive got a oxford disk lock (thanks to yloop) and a hefty magnum thing, impossible to beak either without having pnumatic machinery. It would be easier to cut through the lamp post!!
Extra vigilence in Hull, its rough as fook!!!! especially the area i live in!

Talking of this dodgey bounder... Got my bike locked up out there now and i saw a dodgey looking fella snooping about staring at them. He soon disappears if you stand near him too long, but he had his hood over his head and he was a scruffy build with a few tools in his pockets.. rage
