James sharp seemed to be a bit of a cult hero, long throw, boot it into the stands, fist in the air, crunching tackles, last minute winner at kiddy, player of the year...

Surely John Machail should get in? He was outstanding as a player, plus wasnt it him who went in goal one time and saved a penalty and made many more saves?

I really get annoyed when people put Bob Newton up as some sort of hero. Lets get this straight once and for all; he was a pisshead. He is still a pisshead. Because of his drink driving one young player lost his life when he was a passenger in Newton's car.

He got done again last year for pissed up driving so he learned nothing.

Hero...................... fuck off.

To be honest 95% of the people listed so far are far from cult heroes if you ask me.

A cult hero IMO should be someone provides entertainment through unconventional ways. Monty Panesar is a cult hero with the English Barmy Army as you'd see better fielding and batting in village cricket.

From those listed in my lifetime I'd agree with Skedd, Gus, Brian Horne, Dark Lord, Hugh, Brian Cox.

If Stig Larsen had played a few more games then he'd have made it!
