I'm pretty sure Richie Skirving turned professional for a while, possibly at York. I could be wrong. My old man's mate Stevie 'Woof' Barker played professionally out in New Zealand for a while if that counts.

Fletcher was a player from the pre-Football League days. He was top-scorer in each season from 1908/09 to 1912/13. His total of goals will actually be in excess of 111, which is just his total from North-Eastern League games and FA Cup ties. With the other competitions kicking about back then he will have scored more. katcha will have a better figure.

Johnson is our top Football League scorer with 98. He also scored 6 in the FA Cup and 2 in the League Cup for a total of 106, which puts him level with Johnny Wigham (95 league, 7 FA Cup, 4 Div3N Cup) for total goals in "major" comps for the period 1921-present.

you can see why you are barred from this type of thing cant you!

You'll know my old man then, Bash Waller. There was some good footballers out of his group of mates; Tommy Connor who's already been mentioned, Kevin Waller and Billy Mottram to name but a few.

Micky Rae is another that hasn't been mentioned. He told me last night that he has a few trials lined up so fingers crossed he can get back into game.

Stephen Brackstone been mentioned?

Boro
York

Gavin Naylor?

Man Utd
Boro
Springs

Also a lad I went to school with Chris I'anson, also works at Springs, had a trial at Birmingham.

My other mate from school Chris Cronin was a YTS at Sunderland too.
