started the season playing cricket for new marske, took a wicket with my 2nd ball and ok with the bat, but recently they've jibbed me off for 2 better players from marske CC.

I've been dying for a game and even bought some new bits of gear, but no call to play.

just got that call for a game tonight [even tho it'll be pissing down], but i have band practise and can't turn out!

don't reckon our wondrous skipper'll ring me again now untill they're really desperate!

do they still play on that godawful pitch with loads of stones on the wicket ? played there a few times and nearly had my head taken off by the opening bowler at the time, greg somone.

Got them back to our place going back a few years (Grayfields) and they were top, and we were second. We skittled them for 27 and knocked them off to win by nine wickets. They had a medium quick bowler who got so frustrated with my trademark 'guide' past second slip ( ) that he actually collapsed on to his knees on the pitch and beat it with his fists. i laughed so much a bit of poo came out

that sounds like Tim, my Mrs' relative somehow and mr Howlin Wolf's [off this boards] bro-in-law....

the pitch is not bad now, certainly no stones on it!

Not the best idea in cricket whites......particularly if you're still batting.....
