the press have soon got bored with that story haven't they? It's hardly been mentioned for two months.

The search apparently cost over 2.5 million quid. People can moan about Asylum seekers etc draining our country's resources but we could do worse than swapping 100 asylum seekers for families like this one.

The papers can't mention the case until it goes to court as proceedings are legally 'active'.

I was about to bestow similar NCTJ training to this situation but to be fair I think most of it is because papers get very bored, very quickly with the changing stories. I can only think about one campaign that's kept going for the last few years (Honour the Brave in the Daily Mirror). Unless you count the Daily Express, a.k.a. the Daily Madeliana
