The current price with a 25% reduction on the old early bird scheme would be a winner for me.

That is exactly the point that I'm making when I say that I'd be livid if I was having to pay more than somebody else.

How is it simple if you don't know anybody else who is interested in buying a season ticket for the first time? stpid

At current fuel prices I estimate that a trip to a Pools home game will cost £36 in fuel alone.
I already buy two adult season tickets . I won't be buying one for the bairn as she is off to Uni. That might change if she goes to Newcastle as hoped.
If there are to be discounts then, like Mr Ripper, I expect EACH ticket to carry that discount.
If we stop buying season tickets we will then probably choose our matches, bearing in mind that each home game will cost the thick end of a hundred quid or even more.

Of for fooks sake Ripper, you're a bright lad. It can't be hard to find such a person. Try a message board maybe?

Like I said previously, do you really think that there enough people on here currently without a season ticket to buddy up with each of the existing season ticket holders?

I would reckon there'd be about 2 or 3 times more season ticket holders on here than there is people who would be willing to buy one for the first time just because it is a reduced rate. And that is before you get into the small print and find that both tickets would have to be for the same part of the ground.

At this point, I introduce a competition.

Everyone should write down Pu Li Kev's expected response to this thread when he comes onboard later to-day.
Prizes will be awarded to the closest estimaters

The closest estimator?

Dibble will win hands down.

I reckon that PK will probably say how good an idea it would be by the club and that people shouldn't whinge about it.

But it wouldn't be the first time that I'd disagreed with him!

You could easily halve your petrol costs by picking me on your travels up norf! however it would add on 1 hours to your journey!

I don't support the current price.
But, you do realise that none of this is going to be resolved ever? The only solution is to bugger orf and support a team like Spennymoor which hasn't yet been manhandled by big business

If you live anywhere near Tickhill mate, you are welcome to a lift. However I don't fancy adding two hours to an already long enough journey.

Tickhill is Donny isnt it?

I could probably get to Goole via the missus dropping me at services near there.

Matty, I would be able to pick you up at Ferrybridge services and drop you there on the way back, if that is any good.
Tickhill is south of Donny near the Blyth roundabout. We go straight up the A1. Goole is a bit of a detour for us.
I am not looking to extending the journey mate.
Do you live in Hull?

Like I've already said, Mr Chin, I go via the M18-M62-A1M so if ever I am going to the Vic I'll let you know. Goole is only a 5 minute diversion.

the last time he played at pools for blackpool he got a standing ovation from the pools fans. thats not something you see very often.

the last time i saw him play for blackpool live on sky in the championship ( i.e. the division we are meant to be aiming for ) he got man of the match. he was playing in midfield.

nobody at blackpool is on anything like 4k a week, gerry has clearly made that up ( along with pretty much everything else ) and they certainly wont be at huddersfield who are subject to a wage cap based on last seasons income like everyone else in this division.

huddersfield may well have sold a lot of season tickets at reduced rates. no doubt swindon, who have reduced their prices to 1993 levels, have done likewise.

i hear pools are planning a great season ticket deal to fans. god knows when it will be announced as the club seems to be closed for the holidays at present.

parker may well have been out of pools price range, but it would be interesting to see us at least linked with a decent player.

I've made bugger all up.
I lived in Blackpool for almost 6 years, the lad who gave me most of that information runs one of the major fansites and presents an award every year at the POTY for them.
