This seems to be how Premier League football is going.

Some foreigner comes along, buys the club, puts someone in charge and if they don't win everything in the first season they're out the door.

Ferguson & Wenger will be the last of long term managers.

I am convinced Grant was put in charge to get the team through the season with a view to get Rijkaard in the summer. He has done far better than was expected and I guess if they had won the champions league it may have been a tougher decision to get rid. Rijkaard leaves Barca on 30th June and so whats the chances of him ending up at chelsea....... we'll see.

He wouldn't like the job. He hated the press intrusion when he was allegedly given the England manager's job ahead of McClaren. This would be worse. Every day from the start of the season the press will ask him "Have you been sacked yet?"
