this pack of cowboys have just left our Nicole and two of her mates stranded at the Power Station club, despite having pre-ordered the taxi this afternoon, and repeated attempts at getting them to turn up have failed. They were supposed to turn up at 10 pm after the party at the club, but still hadn't arrived at 10.45, despite their repeated promises to the contrary. They had even stopped answering the phone because they'd realised it's us who was trying to get back onto them. Nicole's friend's mother has ended up picking them up an hour late. The wife finally got through again and blasted them, and we are considering going to the Mail with this. Lying scumbags kept saying the taxi was on its way, and that's what is bugging me - unfortunately my car is at work and I have the works van which only has room for one passenger. We quite clearly stated that they were leaving 13/14 year olds outside the Power Station club, they knew this because they had even taken them there in the first place!!!
I'm on my way to their offices in the morning to sort this out.

Worst firm in the town mate. I'd rather walk than use them.

Ask Greg.

PS it's also now the same cab company as 353535
If anyone on here works for them, I make no apologies. If this is the standard of taxi company operation from now on, trading standards need to get in there with size eleven boots and do some serious kicking

The same thing happened to me and my mates about a month and a half ago. After repeated 'it's two minutes way' they finally picked us up. An hour and 15 minutes late. Some of the lads were set on paying nothing, and gave the taxi driver some stick in the process, but it wasn't his fault and we paid up, more for his sake than anything else. Saying that, the time before that saw one of the drivers getting really arsey over drop offs we'd mentioned to his firm but which they hadn't told him. You'd have thought we'd have learnt our lesson.

People should stick with Hartlepool taxi companies who have provided a good service for years - let Boro Taxis stay in Boro!

Stripe got took over by someone who had a business in seaton and fooked it up and sold it to his cousin shortly after who has royal.

Should people stop getting the bus cos it may come from stockton or because the drivers ain't english/white ?

so it was stripe

where has anyone inferred that the service is shite because they arent english/white stpid stpid stpid
but some people in hartlepool will let the no36 go past them and get the no6 even though the 36 is going past the stop they want stpid

so why are you so defensive about a crap firm sctatchinghead

the clear insinuation being made is that people shouldn't use them coz they ain't from hartlepool and are owned by gentlemen of asain extraction

When stripe got took over they were not sold to a stockton firm.

the bloke from seaton sold it to the stockton firm

I am not defending them - like buses they are a last resort for me - i wouldnt use Royal either - it was bad enough when i worked for stripe trying to get one - if their reputation has become sullied since then there is no way i would use them and therefore do not.

People can slag shite companies off for me, but not very discrete racism is a no-goer - there was an advert in the paper from a rival firm - hartlepool registered cars driven by people from hartlepool - or something similar - surprised they could get away with really as it was clear to see what they were implying.

IRRESPECTIVE - the service that this company has given to Parmo whether yellow green or purple or from stockton, stoke or south shields is shite

View from the outside, not used Royal Taxis or any in Hartlepool for a long time since moving away...

Not once in here can I see that anyone apart from you has mentioned the race of the owners, thinly veiled or shouting from the rooftops?

Racism is quite a serious accusation to be making though and the only thing people have said is that they've gone to shiit since the new owners took over. A fair observation based on peoples testimony on this site.

If people were so racist then they wouldn't have used the firm in the first place. They can't all of a sudden be racist simply because the firm is rubbish!

Is being critical of anyone other than an englishman now being racist?

I was informed (reliably or not I don't know) that Royal are Boro taxis, just re-badged. Boro taxis monopolise most of Teesside already and have inflated the prices in the areas that they dominate - they have now allegedly been telling rival Hartlepool companies that they will also wipe out any opposition in Hartlepool within a few years. I think, if thats true, then its wrong and we should support the local companies.

Well said, that's exactly what I was thinking reading this thread. People are saying you shouldn't use this firm because the service they provide is crap, not because they are owned by asians.
People couldn't care less what colour the drivers are, if one firm gives good service and one gives shit service, which one would you use???

If these reports are true, and no one has said anything to the contrary, then this Royal company will come to a right royal halt because of the service (?) they are giving. People just won't put up with that sort of behaviour.
Every father of daughters will have sympathy with parmo on this. It is just not on.
Call for a Geoffrey on this one..........that's Boycott.

Nowt at all to do with the colour of the drivers katcha confised

We have only ever phoned them twice. The first time they never turned up and the second time they left our lass and the kids stranded outside Asda for 55 minutes stpid I had to come away from work and pick them up in the van and turned up at the same time as the taxi. Streamline have a few asian drivers and they are the firm we use now. They are 100% reliable and always turn up. If they can't get a car to you, they'll tell you.

I've had to read over this thread about 4 or 5 times too see where someone mentions race or not using them cos there asian, I honestly can't find it, just from you Katcha!

I used them for a taxi last week, he only charged me a pound as thats all i had in change, result!

I think everyone has a tale about taxi firms, leaving them strandard, being late etc

He means the great international taxi race, held annually. It starts at Newburn bridge and finishes when the first cab to arrive at the time booked is declared the winner. These races have been known to run for quite some time before a result is declared.

"No fecker in the Town should use this company anyway"

"Hartlepool is probably the cheapest town in the country for Taxis....give it 2 years and we'll be up there"

"People should stick with Hartlepool taxi companies who have provided a good service for years - let Boro Taxis stay in Boro"

To my tired eyes there is insinuation within this thread - maybe people may not have meant it but when i read this thread and added it to the recent advert in the paper - the undercurrent is there trying to chip away at people - they're not one of us/ours - don't use them etc etc etc

That's what I think. You may all not - your choice - but the company who did the advert have done a good job as it is tuned in to the psyche of many.

It may just be a case of over Poolieness that you are displaying but it's clear to me that this advert is well worded and knows what it is doing.

i dont think it is insinuation
no one should use the service because it is shite

the cost issue ?

people like cameron twed hudson all are hartlepool business men and are long established local firms and to last this long must be doing more right than wrong.

advert in the mail well you would have to read the mail to see it
i dont it is shite and stopped buying it when the only edition started being on the streets at 11am might as well buy the echo same news in but more about pools.

the only tuning of psyche seems to be being done by you.

this thread was about shite service wether it had been any other firm it would have still been shite service
time to draw it to a close i think

I use Hudsons and 23 regularly and occassionally Streamline.

Both Hudsons and 23 are pretty reliable although can be 5 or 10 minutes late which narks me a bit cos I'm a little impatient when wanting to get to the pub.

Streamline are always bang on time.

I've never used Royal because I've heard from too many people that they are beyond unreliable and couldn't find their arse with both hands.

If they buy Hudsons I'll stop using them too.

And if being impatient or expecting a reliable service makes me a screaming racist then call me Griffin and knock me up one of those white suits with the funny hats.

dont live in the town so unless you want to come to Hull and take me to work - 1 mile away - and back for the normal price of around 3 quid then i'll use you. Till then, its 'Five-0'

It's a bit confusing isn't it, as I understand it, Hudson aren't run by Hudsons. Hudsons run 23 taxis which are nothing to do with Hudsons the firm but are something to do with Hudsons the people - ie: Cath and Dave Hudson.
