Is this bloke for real? How can avoiding relegation be bigger than winning the FA Cup

the manager said: "It's a great day in terms of there is glory in winning but, in football terms, keeping Portsmouth up was a bigger achievement.

You play more games in a league season and a consistently better opposition. Technically, he's correct.

Soz 'n' tha'

So if you had a choice - would you rather Pools gained promotion to the premiership? or win the fa cup?

The club's name engraved on one of the most famous trophies in the world or a season spent getting humiliated week in week out? Hmmm, difficult decision.

Didn't say I agreed with him. He is correct in what he said though.

For the record, I would like Pools to win every competition they ever enter.

I think he just meant that it is actually harder to stay in the prem than to win the fa cup.
In the cup I think Man U were the only premier league team they had to beat to win it, whereas obviously they play a good team every week in the league.

Changing the subject, I've never seen so many 'fans' come out of the woodwork as yesterday round here.... there was apparently 60000 watching it on a big screen they put up on southsea common. And it also seemed to be an excuse for every chav and pikey in Hampshire to walk around drinking cans of stella and acting like complete tossers. Where were they when they were shite eh?!?!

I know im going to get slated for this but...

I would rather be in the premiership, one great day where our team beats a team and wins a cup, or a season of seeing some of the best teams and players in the world, and pulling off a few shocks along the way?

No contest for me.

Come on, the best teams and players in the world....?

Do give over, 90% of them are overrated shite

Phil - Do you not play some of the best teams in europe in the uefa cup like? Notts County and Bradford were in the Premiership but what do they have to show for it now?
