HIV/Aids virus?

Lowest form of "life" (if you can call them that). We had problems with phage in one of our production fermentations (virus attacking the production organism) such that we had to change to a different strain of bacteria, which wasn't susceptible to the virus. Viral infections are a twat because the dna structure of the cell changes, such that the cell mutates and has no mechanism to kill the virus - by virtue of the fact that the virus has already changed the cell dna!!!
