Danny Wilson has got the best out of his squad this season? I ask after reading most posts on here and can see the obvious spilt in for and against him, but would be intrested to know the answer to that question?

I agree, but im intrested to know how some people consider him to have done a good job this year by ' doing what we expected' and getting a mid table finish.

fair enough but i would hardly class us as midtable. If we were 11th people would be arguying that we were play-off hopefulls therefore realistically we are below midtable

It doesn't seem to make a lot of difference does it, we're safe in both cases.

I think another manager might have done a bit better, but there again a different manager might have meant a different squad.
If Cooper, for example, was in charge, he might have got us some decent full backs. His signings Robertson and Ross (when he wasn't pining for the fjords) did the business.

it was also the last time we had proper full backs, in both areas of the pitch, at the same time.

Everybody's favourites were out yesterday, Clark and Nelson at the back, Brown and Porter up front, Monkhouse in midfield, Humphries on the left, Gary Liddle in front of the back four.....When I saw that team a small amount of wee came out. Surely no-one could criticise that??

What happened? We couldn't score and conceded again...... rolfl rolfl rolfl

Where does that leave the pundits??

This team is more than capable of making a promotion push with the right man in charge.

The manager made far too many bad decisions in my opinion and as a result, i've picked out the games that I thought might be good in true armchair fan style. I also had a couple of freebies.

If he is still the manager next season, i'll continue to do the same.

At the minute, I don't enjoy going to watch Pools. The anticipation is no longer there. I expect us to play badly. In fact, if it's an away game, I expect us to be beaten. This is a sad situation but that's just the way it is and it won't change whilst Wilson is around.

One or two amendments, Kev.
Collins and Nelson were at the back.
Porter was up front for Nine minutes only.
Monkhouse was on the left.
Humps was left back.
Clark was in front of the back four.

Apart from that you are spot on.

Well that was how it started then erm.....Danny had a bit of a Tinker. Mackay went up front and Robson went on the left and Monkey went on the right and then......ah yes.......then we conceded a goal.
You really missed a treat

A masterful exercise in pedantry. clappp clappp clappp clappp

I am terribly sorry, I was diving a reef in the South China Sea at the time. In my haste, I completely forgot to time and position the players. And with my sadly lacking dive gear I simply cannot pick up Poolslworld 35 metres down.

They still failed though eh??
