Yeah sure...

How unambiguous is "I would not say no to anything and I would definitely not say no to Hartlepool. If the conditions and terms are right then why not. Hartlepool is like home to me. I spent four brilliant years there, with ups and downs and a lot of excitement"?

Are those words, the line from a newspaper, or have you actually heard him say it? That is all I was asking. There is a lot of 'he said, I said, his best friends neighbour said' that goes on. You must know that.

might have been different, if he showed some loyalty to the place where he had four very happy yearswhen he left,
instead of the aleged pre signing deal he made

Besides which, he's got two years left on his contract at Coventry. Therefore he'd cost us money to go and get unless Coleman releases him, and I can't see us spending money to bring him back. I'd love to be wrong though.

I'd rather have Dimi back, than the two we've got swearing their dying allegiance to the club

It was Pools that gave Dimi his chance and turned him from an also-ran to a sought-after keeper. Coventry got the benefit of that for free and unlike Pools have done nothing to raise his profile.
Yet it's us who have to pay them.

Something isn't quite right there is it. The system isn't working.
Try as I may I just can't see how Coventry deserve a fee. Bastards.

I also get the feeling that IOR don't approve of such practices, and regardless of how much they liked him in the past - they won't want to be seen to be rewarding that kind of behaviour, as a matter of principle.

The full quotation was 'I wouldn't turn anything down, particularly not Hartlepool.......'

But it all depends on what the question was....

We don't go back, or whatever it was Danny Wilson said about Adam Boyd, surely applies here too. Danny is his own man and likes his own men. He doesn't like to put up with fans' favourites like Joel Porter. It's to be regretted - to have Dimi and Boydy back would be great improvements - but Greggs will run out of pasties first.
