Huddersfield Town are doing it, so why not Pools?

http://www.htafc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/SeasonTicketsDetail/0,,10312~1286457,00.html

They've even got their centenary shirt sorted, as voted for by the fans.
Meanwhile back at the Vic.....

all the same, it is fantastic that HUddersfield are doing that

Yet Pools (The so called Towns Club) will see an increase of 10% I bet. and the Centenary Shirt when they eventually decide on it will arrive in the club shop in Jan when the season is about over and cost around £60 as it is a limited edition.

That seems to be the logic anyway.

However I would love them to introduce some incentive as it is such a special year lets see the club do something for the fans for once!!!!!!

the club will be keeping all news behind closed doors with no involvement from the fans. The strip will be a bag of shite as the club wont take any notice of what the fans would like to see. The season tickets will double in price as it is a 'special' season. To mark our centenary season we will be relegated back to where we belong as the club will appoint Danny Wilson for another season and allow him to release our best players and sign players of the calibre of Coles, Budtz, Gibb, McCunnie etc etc

With an average attendance of 4k its hardly likely IOR are going to introduce £100 season tickets.

You want to see us bankrupt!!!!!

as IOR have pumped 6000000 plus into us i would say we are pretty much that way anyway
but if they are happy enough to bankroll us then why not have a guaranteed sell out of season tickets for our centenary

You think we'd sell 7000 season tickets at £100 each? I dont!!

I think maximum we'd sell is 5000!!

Anyway its not going to happen, I think they are more likely to stay the same.

Teams like Huddersfield and Bradford can more or less guarentee 13k tickets sold at £100 a shot, we cant!!

If you want better players and performances it has to be paid we cannot expect IOR because they are a big oil company just to shovel money into the club.
We as fans must play our part as well.

I've heard rumours there's a competition being organised to try to find a worse shirt than the Tesco bag one of 5 years ago!

mouldy, thats a fair point, but we had a 12 and a half per cent increase this season, and in all honesty the team wasnt 12 and a half per cent better.

it boils my piss to pull out 20 quid a week to watch millionaires like elliott and thompson going thru the motions.

at the moment im working for 11 grand a year and ive got 2 kids, so there is no way on gods earth i can pull out 700 quid to get us season tickets.
but you would if we were top of the league and going for the championship Chip.

errrr no i wouldnt. i dont have a spare 70 quid, let alone 700 quid.

at the moment my take home pay is 750 a month.

my rent is 300, council tax 80, csa money 150 and gas and leccy and water is 70.

add on my tv licence, internet, and telephone and ive got 25 bar a week to feed and clothe myself.

paul daniels couldnt magic up 700 bar from that fookin predicament.

ive has toothache for 2 weeks and i cant afford to go to the dentist cos i pulled out 20 bar to go and watch that shower of shite last week.

400 quid for a season ticket for pools is a joke. the cheapest season tickets at the boro and newcastle are cheaper than that and you get to watch the likes of torres, fabregas and ronaldo.

what do we get...bas savage.

Chips, it's simple maths, Newcastle pull in 50000 a week, so they can quite easily charge £400 for season tickets

I frankly couldnt care less if those bounders charged a £1 for a season ticket, I would NEVER go to watch them, they bounders, end of!

I think this season the season tickets prices and pay on the day prices have been way over the top, no real advantage financially of having a season ticket (I've missed 6 home games for my £400  confised but that's my fault!) and £20 is a step too far. As a result I reckon we've lost about 500 floaters who'd have come and watched the match whatever, we've worked hard to acquire these fans after years of cack. How many pints and pies would these 500 have bought over the season? Actually the old 'floaters' had became regulars.

£100 season tickets for a club of our size and backing is an ungrateful and unrealistic request though, do you not want us to compete? Our prices are par for the course at moment, I'm not saying it's right but it's how football is.

What we need is at least a gesture, knock £2 off the match day price and reintroduce the early bird discount and I'm sure we'd be back to 4,500-5,000 for every game in most circumstances at this level. People would respond to that.

It says something when there are cheaper season tickets available at Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Juventus and AC Milan. Obviously buying one for either of the Italian would cost you more when you take into account air travel.

IOR have put nowt into the club other than for running costs, if they have bought a portakabin its only because they would expect a threefold return on it selling dodgy pies or fizzy beer.

I pay my mortgage but it hardly counts as investment towards the house, Investment is when you paint the thing or add an extension etc. In football terms this equates to quality players and new stands etc. IOR havent done this.

Bloody hell, someone has nicked Nobby's login. Where did that bit of common sense come from?

Personally I think Pools have found their level now, we might flirt with the Championship and League 2 on occasions but generally the infrastructure is there for us to be a settled League 2 side. KH has got two options then; continue ripping off the current 4000 ish diehards or try and get more people in by offering attractive deals so people don't mind stumping money upfront and your average Joe in the street starts taking a more proactive interest in Pools again
