For the last six weeks or so i've been off the drink.......completely dry

With Mrs Bandage due to give birth to our second child any day now, i thought i'd lay off the drink like my poor Mrs has to (what with me being a 'modern man' and all!!!!) but its fookin killing me!!!!

Does this mean i'm a pisshead!!

Not at all it means you're a modern man seen to be doing the right thing

I did the same with out second child and stopped smoking when she stopped to.

You're not a pisshead just wise and you can use it in 'debates' with the missus in the future

If you were a pisshead you wouldn't have stayed dry for 6 weeks.

Hats off to you like, I have every January off the beer and I love it when 1st February comes round. I don't know if I could do 6 weeks.

we have a self imposed alcohol ban monday to friday. it's a bugger sometimes when you come in from work and just want a drink but our recycling bin was getting so full on collection day that the bin man was struggling to lift it! so thought it was time to dry out ready for a big summer.
pregnant women are strange with alcohol, my missus stopped drinking the minute she found out she was preggers and didn't touch a drop until she stopped breast feeding about a year later,never even wanted a drink.
