Half time...1-1.
My roving reporter tells me that Budtz made what he described as a 'comical error'.

You can put the kettle on now boys.

Oh bugger, a penalty? Ah well, we'll add it to Tymon's total anyway.

My man of the match was Godwin Antwi bbolt

No seriously he was, he had their number 9 in his pocket all game, looked a talent that number 9, but Godwin spoilt his fun all night.

As for Jan Budtz, give me strength!

Pools royalty in attendance as well, Messers Hodcroft, McRae and Turner.

I thought Antwi did OK apart from a couple of usual nervous moments.

Martin Young at left back looked very good too, I thought he was a midfielder to be honest but he looked very commanding there and looked like a proper left back.

Rowell was very impressive and I hope we get to see a couple of the players mentioned in this thread before the end of the player.

For Leeds the number 8 in the middle looked handy including one great run with ten minutes to go where he beat about 6 players and Elliot the goalscorer looks a very useful prospect.

was ruddy the little un who makes Foley look like Peter Crouch? I didn't think he was that effective to be honest.

Ruddy played right wing and was excellent. TPP TOM HAIG played left back tough tackler that lad looks a good un
i thought Rowell was the bizz tonight though all over the shop
a good team performance against a very mobile Leeds side Tom Elliott the Leeds striker looked a handfull battled well for their goal

Martin Young had an excellent game at Rotherham last week at Right Back. was he LB tonight?
If that is right then we may just have started to solve our fullback problem.

So then are we ready to give some of these kids a chance. Rowell or Tymon perhaps. Maybe the fullbacks.Obviously not all together, but they could be given a run out from the bench. It will be invaluable experience for them.

I know that Rowell has been travelling with the squad to away matches so I have a feeling it might be him.

There was some good performances there last night as Mutters said Ruddy was good. rowell and Antwi played well Butz though your hands again the leeds lad Fabian Delph was very good.
And Lightening Tree kept us amused eating all the bairns sweets.
