I believe Ian Mcallum plays guitar for them now, I remember in the late 80's a mate of mine was tour manager for them, they turned up in a battered old transit van to the greenies, had the mother of all stoppybacks and took a couple of the locals as roadies for the City hall gig the next night!

I have no idea how good bad or indifferent this lot are,but they are the only S.L.F. tribute I know of,so see you all in the Clarry & again in The Studio on Saturday for The Steady Boys

Here's me thinking this thread was going to be about Jan Budtz trialling some new 'Viagra Hand Cream' as a last resort.

How wrong I was.

should have gone to see the real thing in Newcastle a few weeks ago.
Sell out as usual and great atmosphere and gig as usual.
No Bruce on bass - replaced as already said by the original Ali last year.
Its Touch and Go whether there's a better live experience - still.

I've seen them about 6 times in the last 10 year but after the Boro gig about 2/3 years ago I said to myself never again....they just weren't up for it!!!! confised confised

it might have been just that night but....I'd rather have the memories!!!! :sweeeet: :sweeeet:

I just wish I'd have seen them in the 70's/early 80's!!!! confised confised

Fair enough. I've seen them five years in a row at Newcastle and every gig has been brilliant. Been up to Glasgow as well last year and Newcastle is a better experience definitely.
I saw them at Middlesbrough three or four years ago as well and that was crap compared to the Newcastle; not a sell-out, nowhere near as good a crowd.
Maybe the Newcastle experience is better. I would recommend them one last time.
I understand not being up for it Doesnt make it Alright but they would be worth a second chance up this way.
Wish I'd seen them circa Nobody's Hero time too
